Absolutely typical!

I've messaged Max a few times, but he hasn't replied. According to Eliza some power lines and satellites got pulled off houses in her area (including Max's) so there's been some problems with network and what not.

And in that small space of time whilst most people were otherwise occupied on the news and the school web thing was malfunctioning someone (cough. Maria. Cough) altered the settings and blocked THEMAN (a.k.a. Toby) out of the whole system.

That and she took pictures of all his messages and reported bullying to the school-anonymously obviously. Sadly enough they'll only get in touch when school starts again, which is today.

I have literally been happy since the party yet now I'm extremely nervous.

Max was right; life's confusing. I don't know how I feel and I'm super agitated.

I know I like him and he's told me he likes me but at the same time none of it makes a tiny piece of sense. Why do I care so much weather someone actually likes me in that way? It's not supposed to be a big deal but it is.

"Hey Charlie!" Maria says, walking up next to me. Since her hangover the day after the party she had gone back to her cheerful smarty-pants self.

"Hi, what's up?" I ask, smiling back at her.

"The sky, the air, and everything else in the world. And do you know what today is?" She squeals with excitement.

"The fact that-" I start.

"-Toby's going to get what's coming for him!" She interrupts, jumping up and down excitedly. "Then all his horrible comments and badmouthing can be forgotten about completely and he can carry on having a miserable existence!"

"Wow, you're really excited for this aren't you?" I ask, sarcastically.

"Yeah, well he texted me telling me I'm a whore so I think I deserve to revel in some of this." She explains.

"This just keeps getting better and better doesn't it?" I laugh.

"Yep!" Maria agrees.

We carry on towards home room, but there's a crowd in the way.

You can hear teachers shout at some people down the hallway but there are too many people in the way which are all trying to get to the front.

"What's going on?" Maria asks no one in particular as she jumps to see what's happening.

"Someone's got in a fight I think." A guy tells us.

"Who?" She asks again.

"I don't know." He says, reaching to look over heads.

Then the teachers pushed their way out of the crowd with a few people following.

"Was that Toby?" Maria asks.

"I don't know I didn't see." I explain.

"Come on, let's go to homeroom." Maria says, pulling me away from the crowd.

When we get there everyone's talking about what happened in the corridor, though everyone seems to be asking questions.

"Brian, Simon! Did you hear about what happened?" Maria shouts when she sees them.

"Yeah, Max got punched by Toby and then Oscar punched him. Then those two started fighting. Mrs Alexandra and Mr Picker had to break up the fight and took them to the head's office." Brian explains.
