Chapter Twelve

"So you going to tell me why you smelled like alcohol last night and why you came home late?" Patty kept asking me those questions when I started to work and I keep telling her that I would tell her tonight. Since it was nearing eleven I made myself a sandwich to go and went to my place to shower and get ready. Alex of course emailed me since he still didnt have my number so I had to give it to him. He said that he had the contract ready but I didnt have time until after class so I texted him saying to meet me after Mr. Knox class after 4. Going to my dresser I grab a black long sleeved shirt, light blue jeans, red hat, and my grey sweater. After getting dressed I put on my long black boots that went over my knees. Grabbing my bag and locking up I head for the subway.

Leaving Mr. Knox's classroom I look down at my phone to see a text from Patty, telling me she made cheese burgers for dinner and she already put some in my fridge for later. I was about to reply when I bumped into a wall of muscle, I really got to pay attention more often. Looking up I see Alex smirking down at me.

"We going to make this a regular thing?" He asked and I shook my head at him. Since I didnt want to keep Myrcella waiting on me I tell him to walk with me and I'll read the contract on my way to the subway.

"Or we can just hop in my car so you dont run into anymore people." He said and I glared at him. I didnt want him knowing where I lived and I needed to keep Myrcella a secret so I could just let him take me a couple blocks away from my place so I didnt have to walk far.

"Okay, but no stalking me afterwards and you will drop me off a couple blocks away from my place since I dont really trust you." I said and he lead me to his car shaking his head like I was some funny clown. Opening the passenger door for me to his 2019 Acura TLX I hop in and he goes to the other side. "So where's the contract so I can start reading?" I asked.

"Glove compartment, now tell me the address you want me to take you since you think I will stalk you later." He said and I gave him an address while getting the contract out and looking it over. Mostly said that I would be his fake girlfriend for six months and then split up saying there will be a fight in front of his parents and we would break up there. There was no sexual contact only kissing and holding hands. I had to go to events and "dates" whenever he says and that if I didnt do any of the things or we broke up before the time period he would tell my secret and that was final.

"Okay we are here." Alex said pulling up to the curb, pulling out a pen I look at him and see that he's already looking at me.

"Kissing and holding hands?" I asked and he nodded, he pointed where to sign and I felt like I was signing my soul to him. Handing it to him and seeing him sign he puts it back in the glove compartment and shuts it.

"Okay first order of buisness, dinner this weekend at my parents." He said and I looked at him with shock. I really couldnt do this weekend since I promised Myrcella that I would spend it with her doing something that she wanted to do. So going with the lie I told his mom I stuck to it.

"I really can't I have to leave Friday to Canada and dont come back until Sunday night." Crossing my fingers and hoping that he would believe me and he nodded his head. "Okay I thought that was a lie to my mom but I will go with it for now. We will talk about another time on Monday okay." He said and I nodded my head. Getting out after thanking him for a ride I start to walk up a alley and wait for Alex to leave until I go back to the sidewalk and start to head to Patty's to get Myrcella.

"Hey where is my princess?" I shout once I get inside of Patty's and look around in the living room until I hear a squeal coming from Myrcella behind me. "Mommy!" She screams and starts to run into my arms once I kneeled down and opened them up. Engulfing her in a big hug I kiss her head and see Patty looking at me with a smile. "How did it go?" She asked and I shrugged and got up with Myrcella on my hip.

"Well let's get going, mommy is hungry." I said to Myrcella and got her bag and coat. Before leaving we each got a kiss on the cheek and once I got in, I dropped off Myrcella's stuff and went into the kitchen to look through the fridge to find the leftovers from Patty earlier. Putting it on a plate and heating it up I go see Myrcella getting in comfy pjs and ask if she wanted to watch a movie before bed. Telling her to pick the movie out and I'll be there in a second so I can get my food. I get my food and sit on the couch once I put in the movie and begin to eat while Myrcella sits beside me cuddled up with her blanket. She picked princess and the frog and I could watch this over and over and not get bored. After done eating I put the plate on the coffee table and cuddle up with Myrcella.

When the credits rolled on I looked down to see Myrcella already asleep. Picking her up and carrying her to her bedroom I put her in bed and shut the door behind me. Going to my room and beginning on some worksheets to get out of the way and to be ahead my phone dings with a notification but ignore it since I'm doing work. And didnt really want to get up to get it. Since I didnt have to work tomorrow and only had to take Myrcella to school I stayed up until 10 and set my alarm so I can get Myrcella ready for class. I would just get ready afterwards.
