Chapter Six- Save Mia and Zoe!

We moved through various hallways and rooms, looking for supplies, until we came to a barn. this must have been where they used to keep their animals. It was dark inside, until we found a battery for the generator. Once we placed it in the slot, the thing exploded!

"Of course..." I muttered. That's when lights began flashing around in the barn.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Welcome, to the barn fight! Keep it clean, people, we have rules!" Lucas said over the loud speaker, as the elevator began lowering. "Ugh. Does he ever shut up?" I asked, making Ethan laugh.

"I wish." He said. Then, the elevator doors opened, revealing a giant monster, that proceeded to vomit everywhere! Gross!!!

"Eeeuugh!! That is disgusting!!" I cried. We took it down pretty quickly, and hopped into the elevator. Once the doors opened again, we walked out, only to see where the password was on a....I shuddered. Poor soul. We went back downstairs, put the password in, and went to open the door, but it wouldn't budge!

"Now hold on, this is a test of skill, so no cheating! That crap your carrying? Get rid of it." He said. We sighed, and placed all of our gear into the item box that always seemed to mysteriously appear wherever we needed it to. Then, the door opened. We walked in, and someone cleared their throat. We turned around and Lucas had shut the door on us! "Have a nice day!" He said, and walked away. I rolled my eyes and picked up the lit candle from a really creepy clown doll. I went to put in the cake in the other room, when I got sprayed with water! Now I was soaking wet!

"Great..." I muttered. I handed the candle to Ethan, and rung my shirt out a bit, ignoring what Lucas was saying. Ethan soon had the candle lit, and we were trying to figure out what to do with it next, when I saw a door held shut by a rope. I took the candle from Ethan, and burnt the rope, then gave it back. I walked inside, smacking balloons away from me, and came to a door with a padlock. It needed a word code. I thought about it for a minute. Lucas had designed this place, and he was extremely sarcastic and condescending, so, I tried the first word that came to mind. "Let's see...L...O...S...E...R..." The lock clicked and opened. "Thought so." I muttered, then went and grabbed the valve off the wall. I walked back out and showed it to Ethan. 

"I think you just cheated Lucas's game!" He said, and I laughed.

"Good!" I said, went through the door, got soaked again, then put the valve on the pipe and turned the water off. "Okay Ethan, come on through!" I said, and he brought the candle through as the lights went off. He stuck it on the cake, which then proceeded to explode! The lights turned back on, and Lucas cursed, saying that we were supposed to die. Then, he dropped a time bomb in the room! I saw the loose boards on the wall, and went over, and ripped it off. Ethan then dropped the time bomb in the hole, and we moved away from the wall. When it went off, it exploded and revealed a secret hallway behind the wall! Lucas was not happy.

"That was supposed to be for you!!!" He screamed, but we didn't pay any attention to him, as we went through the hall, and found a little control room. There was a TV inside it, and we saw Mia and some other woman trapped in another room. That must be Zoe!

"Mia? Mia! MIA!" Ethan screamed. Zoe spoke up then.

"She's alive." She said.

"Where are you guys?" I asked. 

"In a room just beyond the pier. Hurry!" She said, then, they disappeared off the screen, and Lucas showed up again.

"Well now, Ethan!" He said, more focused on him than me.

"What do you want?" Ethan asked.

"You. Dead. But I guess that's not in the cards. Not yet."

"Lucky me!" I stopped listening here, and saw that the D-Series head was in here! I quickly grabbed, as Ethan stopped talking to Lucas. We grabbed out gear, and headed out the door. We traveled along the pier, fighting off the monsters as we went. Soon, we made it to the building that Zoe and Mia were in. We walked in, and made it up to them. Ethan got Mia, while I took care of Zoe!

"Do you guys have both ingredients?" She asked.

"Right here." Ethan said and handed them to her. She took them and went to a small container of some sort to make the serum. "So, what's next after we make the serum?" Ethan asked. 

"There's a boat outside, we can use it to get out of here. But neither pf us will make it very far without the serum!" She said, and Ethan took both syringes. "Hey! One of those is mine!" She said. Then the building shook. We turned around, and I screamed. An extremely mutated version of Jack was looking in at us! He reached in and grabbed Ethan, Leaving me, Mia, and Zoe in the room.

"Zoe! Get back to the house! I will deal with you later!" He said. We watched on nervously as Ethan fought Jack, and he ended up having to used the serum on him. Zoe opened the door for him, and he walked out. The three of us were waiting for him on the dock.

"I had to use one of them on him. There's only one left." He said. Mia came over.

"There's only one left? There can't just be one left!" She said.

"What are we gonna do now?!" Zoe asked. Ethan looked at me.

"Carter, you don't need any, right?" He asked. I shook my head.

"No. I carry the very first form of the old T-Virus, and that protects me from everything. Whatever infected them hasn't been able to infect me." I said. He nodded, and, in the end, he chose Mia. Zoe gasped, as I got into the boat, feeling bad about not being able to help Zoe.

"It's fine. It was foolish thinking I could escape." Zoe said, as Ethan got into the boat. 

"Zoe, come with us! I'm sure there's someone who can help!" She said. Zoe frowned.

"This is my home. Apparently I belong here." She said. Ethan helped Mia into the boat.

"I'll send help." He said.

"Don't bother. There won't be anyone left to help!" She cried, as we drove the boat away. Mia looked up.

"Ethan? Thank you." She said.

"Who else was I going to choose?" He asked. Mia looked at me then.

"Carter, right? Thank you for helping Ethan survive the Baker house. I don't know what I would have done if something happened to him." She said. I smiled.

"It was my pleasure. We helped each other." I said. Ethan began trying to get Mia to tell him what had happened, but she had amnesia and couldn't tell him. Suddenly, we came upon three huge boats washed up on the shore!

"Is that the boat? How did that get here?" He asked. Suddenly, something stopped the boat, and mold crawled up it and flipped us! I screamed, as I fell into the water.
