Chapter 3

Stacy's P.O.V

I think my heart stopped functioning. No. I think I stopped functioning. I never thought that this actually happens. What they said about meeting your mate is like something that makes you confused about all the mixed feelings. I can't believe it, I'm actually experiencing it now. When he looked up at me, I know he's the one. He's the one who's destined to love me and is destined to be love by me. His eyes are so beautiful, so blue. He's so handsome. 

We stared at each other for I don't know how long until one of his friends ruined the moment.

"Can we help you?" His friend asks.

I look at him, blushing and I immediately shook my head. "No, I'm sorry. Excuse me" and I ran off towards Cherry who's beyond confused.

"What happened to you?" She ask "Here, I bought you water and a cupcake!"

I shook my head took the water and thank her. We started to head back to our classroom. While walking, I smiled at myself as I recall what I said to my brother."Well for starter you could have smiled and said hi!" I am such an idiot, I can't even do it myself.  I smiled again. Did he feel it too? I wonder what he smells in me, cause he definitely smell like books and cinnamon combined. Two of my favorites. I just want to smell him all day, is that weird? I don't think so.

We reached our destination and I immediately went to my sit, still thinking about how handsome he is and how beautiful his eyes are. What is his name? What year is he in? What course? Is he younger or older than me? Does he want me too? Or maybe he already has a girlfriend? The thought makes my heart squeeze, I hope he's single. I stared outside the window and all I can see are trees and couple of birds.

All throughout the day, my mind has nothing but him. Half of me wish that maybe he's waiting for me outside and half of me wishes that I hope he's already gone home or still in class, because I don't know if I can confidently face him after what happened earlier. My head at the moment is a mess.

Here I am again walking in the hallway alone and this time heading to the exit. As I've expected my brother is outside waiting for me patiently. When he spotted me, he wave his hand and smiled.

"Hi baby, how's the first day of class?" He asked.

"Hey Xandy, you're being sweet because you know that I have something regarding your mate right? You only call me baby when there's something you want" I huff and this made his smile wider.

"Oh come on. So, did you ask her any more details about Oliver?" He ask and then blush. Seriously, this guy.

"No, I didn't." I rolled my eyes and was about to open the car door when someone called my name. I turn around to see Cherry and some guy running towards me. Don't tell me this is her new victim? It'll only take time before someone will notice that all the guys she's been with suddenly became ill after dating her. When she finally reach me, she smiled.

"Good thing I catch up with you. Here you forgot your notebook." She said handing me her notebook. I'm confused.

"Cherry, this is not my no-" before I could finish what I'm saying, she pulled me aside and whispered "Who is that daddy? Is he your boyfriend? Why didn't you tell me about him? You're unfair cupcake." She said and pouts. I laughed at her ugly face.

"Don't pout, it does not suit you and no, he s not my boyfriend, he's my brother. Oh and don't call him daddy, you're gross" I told her and went back to my brother's side pulling Cherry behind me.

"Cherry, I would like you to meet my brother Alexander, Alexander this is my classmate Cherry." I introduced them to each other, my brother's face lit up upon hearing the name Cherry and he immediately shook her hands.

"Hi Cherry, nice to finally meet you." My brother says

"Nice to meet you too sir" Cherry shyly says. I rolled my eyes.

"Oh please, call me Alex"

"Yes sir, I mean Alex" again, being shy.

"Anyways, Cherry, we need to go now. I'll see you tomorrow okay?" I said to her and pulled my brother towards his car.

"Okay, see you tomorrow cupcake! Bye Alex!" She said and wave at us before turning around and walk off together with her 'food' as she called them. But before we drove off, my brother called Cherry, who immediately turn around.

"By the way, tell your sire that I'm sorry I just ran that day at the park and tell him I'll be waiting there Saturday 7 pm. Thank you love." He wink at her and drove off. I look at Cherry using the side mirror and saw her froze in shock. 

"Now, your confident is back huh? Are you sure you're not going to run off  like last time?" I laugh at him. His brows furrowed.

"Oh shush! I promised myself I'm not going to this time. I just want him. I hope he wants me as well."

"Of course he will" I said unsure. I remember that Cherry mentioned Oliver's parents are homophobic. I mean the two of them are not gay to begin with, but they're mates what can they do about it. I just hope this Oliver has some balls and that he won't be one of those 'living to please the parents' type of person. If he hurts my brother then he'll be facing me. My brother is strong I know that, but still.

After that, we drove home in a comfortable silence. A moment later I receive a text from Cherry.

Cherry on Top: OMG! Your brother is our leader's mate!? I can't believe this. I immediately went home you know!

I laughed while reading her text, I can just hear her voice while reading her text. 

I replied: And?

Not a minute pass, when I receive another message.

Cherry on Top: And for some reason sir Oliver is not busy so I immediately went to talk to him. So I told him about what your brother said and guess what happened?

I was about to type my reply when I receive another text.

Cherry on Top: Sir Oliver smiled! He smiled for goodness sake! He looks more handsome (don't tell your brother I said this) and he said where and how I met Alex, so I told him the whole story. So, the important thing is that, sir Oliver told me to let your brother know that he's looking forward to meet your brother again! Kyaaaah!

I smiled at this and my brother notice it. He raise a brow as a question why I'm smiling. "It's Cherry, she said Oliver is looking forward to seeing you again this Saturday".

I saw my brother blushing hard and for the last 30 minutes a smile is plastered to his face. That made him so happy I see. It warms my heart. When we arrived home, our sister Alexandra surprise us. My sister is currently travelling the world together with her mate David. They met a year ago and months later, they just decided to travel. As a welcome back celebration, we all went out to eat dinner and catch up. Now the only people missing is our parents, who's away because of their job. 

Our parents work for the council who sets laws in the underworld and to keep us balance. One of the laws are to not let any human know we exist except for those whose mates are humans. But, it doesn't concern me so yeah.

After dinner, we all went home and I decided to go to bed as I have an early class tomorrow. Alexander and Alexandra on the other hand, decided to stay up and catch up for all the things they've miss in each other.

I took a shower, brush my teeth and went to bed. Before sleep consumed me, my last thought was my mate.
