Chapter 17

Stacy's P.O.V

I woke  up and notice that Marcus is gone, I look at the time and it says 8:30 pm. I wonder where he is, then I remembered him mentioning about a meeting with the other Alpha. I shape shift into a bug and fly through the hallway. Being a part vampire sure is handy. I pass to a room that says Alpha's Office and decided to go inside only to see Marcus, Jake and two other men talking.

I was about to crawl out when I heard them talking about a man wanting to destroy this pack, so I crawled behind the shelves' and listen. I know eavesdropping is bad, but I can't help it, I really want to know and maybe there's something I can do to help them if ever. So I listened.

They talk about what the man, who they called Morgan told the other Alpha and how he threatened him if he sides with Marcus. He told Marcus that he will side with him and Marcus promise him to sent out some warriors to help them secure their pack or something like that, they then proceed to sign some papers. They shook hands and they all went out, I was about to go back to his room when the door open and Marcus and Jake came inside, moments later three people arrive. 

Marcus told them what is up and saw the three of them tense up and angered lacing their eyes, they talk about a lot of preparations, such as stocking a lot of food and and other things needed in their underground hide away for the kids, elderly and the omegas, they talk about how to convince Chess on not involving himself. I didn't listen any further and crawled out of his office and returned back to his room, to go back to sleep, which I can't do anymore because I keep on thinking about all the possibilities on what will happen.

Will he tell me about this? Will he let me help if I offer? These are some of the questions swimming inside my head. My thoughts comes to a halt when the door opened slightly, I close my eyes and pretended to sleep.

 "Marcus" someone called.

"Yes dad?" Marcus replied. His dad?

 "Can we talk for a second?" His dad ask 

 "Sure, what is it?"  Marcus then said

"It's about what happened on Monday night, I'm sorry about all of it. I was just surprise and said things I didn't mean."  His dad explained.

"It's okay dad, I acted the same way to her when she told me she's a warlock." I said and he look at me "I avoided her and shouted at her, I was so confuse on what to do, because I was torn between her, you guys and the pack. But then I thought about what would nana say about it and I thought for sure she would scold me for treating my mate the way I did and would tell me that I shouldn't choose sides in the first place, then I talk to Jake about it and he said that he move on from what happened and that the rest of the pack did too. So, I went to her house and told her everything starting from what happened 11 years ago up to me being torn on what to do and who to chose." He said, pausing for a moment then he continued "She was so selfless you know, she even told me that she would understand if I reject her because she doesn't want to give me a hard time, she doesn't want to give you guys and the rest of the pack a hard time. She was ready to accept any decision I made and is willing to comply and I hated myself for that, I hurt my mate because I can't let go of the past."

"I'm so sorry son."  His dad apologize

"Why don't you invite her for dinner tomorrow night? I'm sure your mom would love that and we also want to meet her" His dad said. I felt nervous all of a sudden, goodness I'm finally going t meet his parents, what should I do? What should I wear?

Marcus told his dad he will invite me and then went inside completely locking the door behind him. He slid inside the covers and wrap his hands around me, I pretended I woke up and ask him where he's been, he told me he just finish the meeting and that I should go back to sleep. I ask him what time it was as he hug me closer to him, he said it's eleven while sucking on my neck.
