~Last Time~
The living room of the apartment looks like any other apartment would. A couch, small clutter on the floor, a tv that is showing the morning news....But the only thing this apartment has, that any normal one wouldn't, is a dead girl on the floor.
A blood pool surrounds her, surely ruining the white carpet for good. But she looks peaceful, both her eyes are closed, her blonde hair sprawled out under her head. If the knife stabbed into her chest wasn't there she would be mistakenly sleeping.
But the thing is, this girl isn't just any girl, in fact, this girl isn't human. The blonde haired girl that lays dead in front of us is...........Silvia.
~Present~
"What....how.....why?" Seth says staring at Silvia.
"What is Silvia doing in the human world?!" I scream.
"Shhh, people can still hear you." Willow says.
"Sorry." I whisper.
"Ok so, Silvia is -was- in the human world, now she is dead. We don't have time for questions, look around for clues." Willow says, clearly the only one not in shock.
Seth and I nod and look around.
Besides the clutter on the floor, the apartment doesn't look very lived in. No dust has settled meaning the cleaning lady has been here. The cleaning lady only comes when there's nobody in the apartment yet or before someone moves in. I mean even the floor has no dirt settled.
"She hasn't been here long, a day, two at the most. I mean the place is awful clean, no dust or dirt settled in the carpet." I say.
"You're right, the bathroom hasn't even been used." Seth says walking out of the hall.
"Her room is clean, this duffel bag was on the floor," she says lifting the bag. "her closets clean as well, she probably came in here last night, we can check the guest check in book at the front desk while the police are still here."
"We should take the duffel bag, you touched it, not good to leave fingerprints." Seth says.
"The only clutter on the floor is a blanket and a bra." I say.
"Hate to seem perverted but Silvia isn't wearing a bra, was the bed slept in last night?" Seth asks.
"No." Willow says.
"So she must've slept on the couch." I say.
"Ok, Seth you take this bag to our room while Angela and I go look at the guest check in book." she says.
He takes the bag and walks outside.
"Hold on let me just check her body heat." she says.
She walks to one of the cops and takes his gloves and puts them on.
She touches Silvia's wrist.
"It's cool, but looking at the time she stayed here she was probably killed last night." Willow says.
That's when I saw that shadow man...
"What do we do about that knife? It doesn't look like it belongs in this realm." I say walking closer to look at it.
The knife has a jagged black blade with a white handle, splattered with red blood drops.
"This looks like a demon knife..."
"Aren't gonna in freeze soon aren't they?" I ask.
"Sh*t yea, hurry lets go."
She pulls the blade out and slides it into her inner leather jacket pocket. I look down at my robe and laugh to myself, of course in this situation I would be wearing a robe.
"You go back to the room, in fact take this." she says pulling out the blade and handing me aglow to put on first. "I'll go down and look at the check in book."
I take the blade and run down the hall to our room. If someone saw me like this, running down the hall with a bloody knife in my hand, I wouldn't know how to explain it.
The second I get inside I hear the police loudly talking again.
They must've unfroze.
I carefully pull off the glove with my other hand and set the knife down on the glove. It took some time doing that and holding the knife.
"Ok so let's wait on Willow, then we will talk about it all." Seth says.
I nod and lean against the counter pinching the bridge of my nose.
"What's wrong?" Seth asks me.
"I-I know I didn't like her, in fact hated her but, I mean, seeing her dead it's just..." I say.
"I understand." he says.
Willow walks into the apartment
"No, you don't, I thought I was finally over with James and hell but this happens and last night-"
"Wait last night?"
Shit
"I um...," I heave a sigh.
I explain all the events that happened last night to him and Willow.
"So do you think the shadow man had anything to do with Silvia?" I ask afterwards.
"Very likely, that knife was a demonic knife and shadow men work alongside demons for protection." Willow says.
Seth nods. "But why did he kill her?"
I look down to the floor.
The shadow man had to work with someone who knew Silvia. Meaning that the demon was most likely rich since Silvia was known for fooling around with rich men. But the fact is that the demon would have to a a better reason to kill Silvia. I mean why kill a random sex crazed demon? Unless the demon knew Silvia on a more personal level. Meaning he knew how annoying she was when it came to getting things she wanted. So the only person who knew how annoying Silvia had been would have been someone she spent more time with than the other men. So that narrows it down to James. But James never worked with a.....
Holy F*ck
"It wasn't a shadow man." I say.
"What?" both of them ask.
"It wasn't a shadow man! It was a phantom!" I scream starting to cry.
"What do you mean a pha-" Seth stops short and his eyes widen.
"You mean him? But why would James send-"
"Because James wants me to know that he means f*cking buisness when it comes to me being around other guys." I say crying.
"He....sent Felix....to kill Silvia to warn me.....not to betray him and....and to stay away from Jett." I say sobbing so hard I can barely talk.
Willow comes to me and holds me as I slide to the floor.
"Shh sweetheart it's alright." she says stroking my hair.
"No it's not! Why...can't he....just leave me alone! He's the one....who sent me off!" I cry into Willows shirt.
"He still wants to control you....." Seth says.
After about ten minutes, the sadness drifts off and anger replaces it.
"Felix!! Show yourself!" I scream.
Not one minute later, the phantom shows up.
"Hello Angela.....its been awhile."
