My Demon Departure

"Zarek!" I shout and his eyes stop glowing and he starts to cry as if to apologize.

"I'm so sorry miss!" I say as I hold Zarek as he cries into my neck.

"It's fine I've experienced worse honey." She laughs.

"But since I see the glowing red eyes I can confirm he is demon with the eyes." She says. "And with that force I'm leaning towards a full fledged one."

"Angels are capable of that force." I say somewhat offended.

"Yes but in angel instincts he wouldn't of smashed the needle, just get it out of my hand." She explained.

I nodded.

The doctor grabs another needle and finishes Ava, after the scare from the smash she was a bit more willing.

"Let me just do Zarek and I will run these tests."

I hold Zarek and he goes through the same procedure, he didn't try anything since I yelled earlier.

"Be right back." She smiles.

"Brb." James whispers to me in a mocking tone.

"Hey!" I smack his arm.

"See at least I'm with the social lingo." He smiles proudly and I roll my eyes.

We sit anxiously waiting for the tests and she comes back.

"Zareks tests came back first, he is, as I presumed full-fledged demon. As for Ava, well she is an angel and, well it is hard for me to explain what else she is exactly." She says sitting down and sighing.

"What do you mean?" I ask getting nervous.

"It's nothing bad or anything just very very rare, Ava is a Soul Watcher." She tells us.

I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion.

"A soul watcher happening is a 0.5% out of 100% chance, in fact I had to run the test twice because it came back as inconclusive."

"How did she get it exactly? What is it exactly?" James asks.

"She was born as a soul watcher and she can see souls and the outline of the body around it, basically the silhouette of a person, the color depending on the persons soul, light blue for good, orange for troubled, red for evil, black for demon and white for angel."

"But neither of us are soul watchers? How did it get passed down?" James asks.

"Soul Watchers take over the less dominate part of a hybrid. Example being Angela you are a hybrid Angel being your dominate correct?"

"Yes."

"Since demon is your less common trait soul watcher would've taken your demon side. That's why soul watcher is so rare, you have to have a demon and angel have a child then only 0.5% chance of it taking over." She explains.

"But Angels and Demons can see souls why is soul watching so particularly different?" I ask remembering Felix saying special Angels and Demons can see souls, maybe this is what he meant.

"Well soul watchers can't see anything else but souls, that way they are the only thing they can focus on, some soul watchers can develop echolocation to see everything else. Also, soul watchers can manipulate souls." She says slowly.

"How so?" I ask shaken.

"They can make the souls look bad having death mistake it and send it to hell, or vice versa. They can also manipulate the soul to make the host's emotions run a muck. But that is all I know, or in case anyone knows that they can do, there has only been 100, 101, soul watchers confirmed, but don't worry we don't write it on record, a lot of people try to steal records to find soul watchers."
