I woke up; I felt Kai’s stomach underneath my head. He had stayed the entire night with me. His arm still lied on my stomach, so I bent my right arm and held it until he woke up; which was moments after I had.
“Good morning beautiful,” Kai said after he rubbed his eyes with his right hand. I still had a hold of his left.
“Good morning,” I said back to him.
He sat up and my head slipped onto his lap. Kai looked down at me, and I looked up at him.
“I can’t resist the urge,” Kai told me as he smiled down at me.
“You can’t resist what urge?” I asked him. He locked his fingers with mine.
“My urge to kiss you,” He told me, and I sat up and turned to him.
“Then don’t,” I told him as I leaned into him and closed my eyes. I felt our lips touched, and he let go of my hand. Then he wrapped his arms around me as he kissed me, and I laid my hands on his chest.
Kai pulled back and said, “I’m going to go get the stuff for our trip,” He unwrapped his arms around me, but I kept my hands on his chest. “I’ll be right back.” Then he grabbed my right hand, and he lifted it to his lips and kissed it.
Then I dropped my hands from him, and he crawled to his vent and left me to wait in the box.
I laid back down on the box floor and stared at the ceiling. Kai wanted to know me better, but I didn’t even know myself. Up until I met Kai; I didn’t even have a personality, but I could tell that I was creating one. My thoughts seemed more energetic, and I was curious; unlike I was before.
Kai brought out the best and me, and I was better off with him than anyone else.
I wanted to know more about Kai, and I wanted to know more about his side. Maybe if I told him about my side he would tell me about his. My curiosity grew by the minute, and I eventually wouldn’t be able to contain it.
I hoped I wouldn’t have to wait long for my questions to be answered, and I knew Kai would tell me if I asked, but I wanted him to tell me because he chose to. Not because I wanted him to.
I laid on the floor and waited for Kai. He came back after a few minutes, and I sat up and turned towards him. My hair fell in front of my eyes, and blocked my view of what he held in his hands.
I brushed my hair out of my eyes and looked at his hands, he held clothes. Why had he brought clothes?
“Change,” Kai told me as he handed the clothes to me.
“I don’t understand,” I told him as I examined the clothes; a big sweatshirt and pants.
“You have to wear clothes that will help you blend in,” Kai told me as he smiled at me. “Go ahead and change.”
Kai’s plan finally registered in my head; the trip he had planned was on the other side. He had brought clothes for me to wear, so I wouldn’t look like a girl.
Then Kai took his other hand from behind his back and handed something hairy to me, I looked at it, it was a wig. A short haired wig for me to wear, so I wouldn’t be recognized.
I grabbed a hair tie I had in my pocket, and I put my hair in a flat bun on the top of my head. Then I looked at Kai; he stared at me.
“I’m pretty sure you watching me change is going too fast,” I told him and his eyes grew.
“Sorry,” He told me as he quickly turned around. “I didn’t mean anything by it.”
I laughed at his failed attempt to cover up his mistake.
