I opened my eyes and saw I was in the box, but I was alone. Kai had left during the night; he probably hadn’t wanted to wake me. A bang rang through my ears, and I looked to the vent opening on the other side. Another bang rang through my ears; I crawled the opening, and the echo grew louder.

Then I crawled through the vent, and I looked in the laundry room; it was empty. I took the cover off, and I stepped into the laundry room. A crunching noise startled me as I stood to my feet; the ground was covered with glass.

I looked to my right; the wall that separated the males from the females had shattered, and a million pieces of glass was scattered across the floor. A bang rang through my ears again, and I looked down the Bedroom Hall; it was darkness. Pure darkness; not an item was lit.

The bang echoed toward me, and I took a step towards the hall. Then I approached the entrance to the hall, and I peered as far down as I could see; which wasn’t far because the darkness engulfed everything. I looked back at the vent opening, and the glass on the floor; I hadn’t heard it break. I must’ve slept through it.

I looked down the hall again; light’s flickered through it. Every few seconds I could see to the end of the hall, but then it disappeared and reappeared.

I stepped into the hall when the light flashed and I reached for the wall; I let the wall guide me. The fourth bang echoed loudly through my head; I reached the end of the hall, and I looked to my right.

Suicide Hall was lit up perfectly as it always had been; all the doors were shut. Then the lights on the ceiling turned red and they started to flicker as the Bedroom Hall had. I turned back and looked at the Bedroom Hall, it was darkness; the lights had stopped.

I walked to the middle of the hall and peered into the cafeteria; it was empty, so I continued down the hall. Then I turned right and found myself facing the door that led to the meeting room; when I approached the door it creaked open, and I entered the room.

The room was well lit and empty; I approached the meeting room table and stood at the end. I blinked my eye, and when they opened the table was twice as long. Then I blinked again and again the table grew.

I held my eyes open and I walked to the other end of the table; I stood at the end, and I blinked my eyes. When they opened again the table had grown; I looked at the room around me. It had grown with the table; the room’s size was changing, but it couldn’t. It was impossible for a room to grow; I blinked my eyes again, and when they opened the room was back to normal.

I sighed as I turned around and saw the screen that Rylie used for the meetings; I walked behind it and examined the back of it. When I walked back around to the front of it; the screen had turned on and a picture of Rylie appeared on it.

I clicked the screen and the picture of Rylie turned into a video, and it started playing.

“You have reached the end of your mission,” Rylie said as she stared directly at me. “Stop now and I will forgive your arrogance.”

“No,” I said.

“It’s over,” Rylie said as she continued to stare at me. “You’ve lost and I’ve won.”

“It’s not possible!” I yelled. “You don’t even know about the plan!”

“I know everything about you,” Rylie said; then she stepped out of the scree and held something at my head.

“What are you holding?” I stuttered at her.

“It’s a gun,” Rylie told me. “And I suggest if you don’t want to die now that you will do as you’re told.”
