That day for me was unexpected. A tragedy, a love story. The three of us woke up from our deep slumber. We slept in the back of my cabin altogether within our own hammocks.
"Morning guys." I greeted as my best friend and the girl I've been admiring on woke up. "Morning." She plainly responds as she gazes upon the sun rising behind the tall mountains. "I wonder what it looks like to be up there." She points toward the south, as her eyes show curiosity for what lies beyond the mount.
"Wanna climb today?" She turns her attention to me immediately and smiled the smile I'd love to see every day of my life. "But I wanna go to the beach first and have a jump at the cliff." Blake agreed with her and we prepped ourselves for the plan.
Once we arrived on the same cliff that the boys jumped on, Cassy didn't hesitate to jump into the water. "Are you going to jump as well Ethan?" I shook my head no and gave her a reassuring smile that I'll be okay in staying on the top.
"Alright." She said as she jumped and disappeared in the unknown.
That was the time when I had this feeling in my heart of panic when I don't see her. She had affected me in so many ways, and I can't even begin to explain how I will not be able to live without her.
"Dude! You gotta try that." I smiled and handed their towels as Cassy still stares blankly at me. "Fine! I'm afraid of heights." I finally confessed to her. "I know." She smiled and sat down beside me.
"I would never get tired of this view." She leaned on my shoulder as she watched the sight in front of her. "Yeah! It is beautiful." I said with my eyes gazing at her.
