I saw her again, the love of my life. It was her who gave me sleepless nights, it was her who made me survive my life.
The last time I saw her, she was floating on the endless sea. Lifeless without any chance of life in her, but now, here she is. The girl I've loved is well and alive. Smiling with the most beautiful smile I've seen.
"Are you just going to stand there?" She laughed as I run to her and spun her around, holding her tight without any thought of letting go.
"I can't breathe Ethan!" I lessen my grip on her, but still embraced her entire body. "I've missed you. I thought I'd never see you again." I usually don't cry in front of people, but this was a different one. I let tears fall out of my eyes as my mind played back to those wonderful moments of us in the beach. Back when everything was still simple.
"I'm here! And this time, I'll never go away." She hugged me once more, this time more tighter than before.
"I love you Cassy." Took me a pretty long time and a good amount of courage to tell it to her, but I just had to right now. Last time, I never had the chance to tell her that. I might have, but not exactly how I wanted it to be.
"That's cool."
My eyes widen with her response. Shock started to flow within me, but no trace of regret will be found. I loved her for her, not because I expected that she'll love me back.
Sure its better if she feels the same way, but I can't force things to go on a different current.
I tried to think of the good things, advices that I've heard from my friends and parents. Little by little, I started to have the strength to form a smile. "Its okay."
Tension can be felt between the both of us, not until a loud burst of laughing filled the silent room.
"Oh my goodness! I can't believe I got you." Cassy continued to laugh, falling straight to the floor because of her uncontrollable happiness.
"I don't understand, whats so funny?"
She got up from the floor and straightened herself before facing me. "I love you too Ethan!"
She then attacked me, hugging me with all her might. "I was joking! Even your parents know how I've fallen for you."
My heart could burst after hearing those words. She loves me? Can this day get even better?
"Well, enjoy your day kids. Take care of her Ethan, your mom and I needed to go back to the site, but we'll be back for dinner."
I nodded my head in response as the two of them walked out the door.
"So, what's your plan?"
