The ocean was once my home. I'd spend hours floating along its calm waters just dreaming and admiring every simple things in life as the dawn breaks on the open horizon.

My surfboard with me always, along with my journal where I write every single detail of my life. I was once a happy man; a guy who would wake up early in the morning with a passion and drive to do what will make him happy. Surfing is mostly the answer to that, unfortunately, a day came into my life that changed everything I once thought I'd do in my lifetime.

May 25

My body awoke right before my alarm snoozed, I head towards the bathroom and took a quick hot shower. Today's the day when me and my friends go out together and see the world of our dreams. We surf all day and all night, swim from shore to shore, and visit every island our eyes can see.

"Dude, you coming or what?" I took one last look on the mirror and head out with my friends into our jeep and towards the beach.

We parked and jumped out of the vehicle, grabbing our own boards as we run into the calling waters of the great unknown. "Ready to explore something today?" One of our friend Cameron asked. "Oh yeah!" With blood rushing wildly to our veins, we let our feet take us wherever it may lead. We paddled, swam, and dived all day until exhaustion took over our body and we decided to gather together in the sand around the warmth of the bonfire.

Cameron started singing songs, Blake began writing things on a paper and throwing it into the flame, but as for me, my whole world had stopped since that minute when her ocean blue eyes met my hazel ones.
