Ch 6 - Yandire Professor

Not the one that will kill for you, the one that will actually kill you.

The event was starting. The clock struck five as you and your partner had two hours to battle and see who else stands. This was going to own your skills. With you and Amber having a set plan in mind this was going to be good.

"And you're sure about this Amber?"

"We don't fully know our opponents and their strengths. And let's say Miyabi or Tora passes by. You want to take them down?"

"Uhhhhh-"

"Exactly my point. Let's do this."

The north side of campus was still large. But with a few teams out and about and some wanting cover from the wide open with little noise the main building seemed as if it would become popular. The long hallways, tall ceilings, and then the amount of rooms. Not knowing what could come of it. The tricks they would pull. Then the three obvious teams you didn't want to bother with. If it could be helped avoid Tora and Tatsu, Tomoe and Miyabi, and obviously stay away from Tor and Julie. Crushes, friends, and then two that just were at the top of the class.

What tactics are they going to use? Straight forward? Tricks? Seduction? This was going to be interesting to see what went on. In the mean time you were in homeroom. Both you and Amber took the sides of the door with both dual weapons. Someone was going to play some hide and seek. Or manhunt. Though who was going to be the hunted?

A half hour later the door opened as two guys stepped inside with warhammers. Placing them down to the ground after taking two steps.

"Man. Nothing." Said one of the opponents.

She nodded. Both of you dashed with both blades swinging. It zapped the strength out of them with one swing. They fell to their knees.

"Let, my guard down." Coughed his partner.

"You know it." You point your blades down. "Let's head out Amber. We can't stay in the room."

It was nearly dark when as both of you switched rooms and saw another enemy coming. You heard a familiar voice. Amber blushed and covered her mouth as she was nervous for who it was.

"Alright Tatsu it seems all clear at the moment. Though keep your guard up. I want to say Tor and Julie and some others are still out there." This was Amber's crush Tora as Amber shut her eyes.

You nod and smile giving sympathy. She just shook her head and tried to compose herself.

A few minutes passed. Felt more seconds the way the time went. Blazes could be heard clashing against one another. But then it really sounded like trouble.

"Yahhhhhhhhhhh!" Let out a scream.

"Psst. (FN)?" Amber whispered.

"Yeah?"

"That's Tora. I think something's wrong."

"Me too. Should we have a look?"

"We have to. I think Tora's hurt."

"You're confessing soon."

"Fine. But we're moving." She ran outside the door as you needed to play catch up. Running after a determined Amber and watching for enemies you feel down in your stomach that this has more to it. Feeling discomfort about everything. Your enemies didn't scream when you slashed them down to their knees. Quite frankly you don't remember anyone screaming in pain at the entrance exam either. Was their a real enemy near by? "Amber!?"

"You're not stopping me." She looked back.

"Hello." Chimed a familiar voice.

"Get back!" You jump in front but your blaze wasn't quick enough. Struck down hard as you feel blood on your shoulder. Dropping to the floor along with your right weapon too as it slide across the floor. "Am I-"

"Hello cohabitation student number one." Smirked that voice.

"Professor?"

"Bingo." This was crazy. Why would Professor Bunbun go rogue? "Any questions?"

"How did you cut him?" Cried Amber.

"I knew; ouch." You get to a knee. "I had a feeling that if someone really wanted to they could really hurt someone. But worse then what it looks. I feel numb."

"Power of a blaze. Ha."

"Amber. Be careful." You warned her.

"Haha. He's right. With malice or intent a blaze can dice someone. Some of you need to learn hands on." Professor Bunbun walked over to your weapon. Stomped on your hand and kicked your sword over. "Let's see what happens when a blaze is destroyed."

"No." You reached over.

She sliced the thing her purple blaze sword. You feel your chest burn as you fall flat. "(FN)!"

"So, care to join him?" Asked the Professor. "You two are a team and usually they share the same fate."

"Amber ru-" You fall flat. Eyes shut. Whatever she did to your blaze and your nerves slightly shaking as you started to lose it. You become unconscious.

You close your eyes and it's brighter. A nightstand with a lamp on it as you see Tora and Tatsu lined up in beds aside from you as you look down. Your shoulder all bandaged up and your mind is all fuzzy. This haze is clouding your mind.

"Hey. You alright?"

Amber is at your right. "Huh? Amber?"

"How do you feel?"

"Like my shoulder is on fire and I'm slightly concussed."

"The other two are worse. I've been sitting here the whole time. Haven't checked on them."

"Now would be a time to comfort Tora."

"Not like this. I'm here for you. My partner."

"Amber, how did I get here anyway? What happened to the Professor?"

"Well," Amber smirked. "Someone gave the three of you first aid. She also gave you mouth to mouth."

"Wait. A woman gave me mouth to mouth? And I missed it?"

"Miyabi did apply first aid and helped you here in the infirmary but no she didn't mouth to mouth. She's probably scared of doing that." 

"Wow. If you can refrain from doing so let's not go there. My head is just not in the right place. And you're nervous about talking to Tora aren't you?" 

She nodded and sighed. "Yeah..."

"Well hey tomorrow depending on how I feel I have to thank all of them. And thank you too Amber. I feel like I have truly been able to trust you and put myself out there. I got much to think about. Tomorrow I hope to be well and maybe saying thanks to Miyabi might give me a chance to talk to her more. And tomorrow you with Tora."

"I guess you're right. Although, I think you have a better chance."

"Odds are not in our favor. Let's just try."

"Together."

"Speaking my language."

Now both you and your duo partner soon have to open up more to your crushes. Otherwise it might bite you.
