Ch 7 - Hurt

Even though you were roughed up you managed to get out of bed on time. Still bandaged up you get dressed and are ready to tackle on the day. Eating breakfast in the dorm with Amber and she is double checking on you. Making sure her partner is okay. Sucks to have a duo based school have one go missing due to sickness or injury. Amber made sure you could function okay before walking to class just a hair earlier.

"You're sure?"

"Positive. Then we'll see if the other two are alright. Though I think I'm at 70%. Majority rules?"

She sighed. Then just smirked. "Ha. Don't over do it partner. You'll kill yourself."

"Do it. Do over. Over do. Duo. I get it. But I'm showing up."

Which was what you planned on doing in the first place. You sat down in your seat with Amber next to you. Finding your center and reaching back into this part of your mind to keep you stable. You had this. Injuries no matter how bad were going to not simply get on your way. You could walk and you could think normally. Good enough.

Tora and Tatsu came in a minute and sat down. Both had a good amount of bandages too. Sitting down and hoping people won't stare.

"Morning." Said Tora letting out a sigh of relief. "We made it."

"How you feeling?" Asked Amber.

"Well enough I guess."

"Hmmm." Tatsu flexed.

Tor then came in with Julie, Tomoe, and Miyabi. He was shocked to see three of you in class today. "You guys alright?"

"We couldn't let a few minor injuries keep us bed ridden forever." Said Tora.

Tomoe shook her head. "Those injuries were serious."

"Tora I won't lie about it. I ache. I don't remember what happened. I just know I'm not at my full capacity. That's it. She won."

Tora looked back. "So all of you know about Professor Bunbun?"

"When they found out not all of us made it back they got worried. Amber applied first aid to you Tora and you (FN) Miyabi was right there." Said Tor running it back.

"Wow. Miyabi. Thank you. I honestly just want to give you a hug but it would be a minute for me to get up." You chuckle.

"Oh?" Miyabi blushed. "It wasn't anything much."

"I think I'm the worst out of all three of us who gotten hurt. I think you did ever so much. I want to thank you more than you realize."

"Well, you helped me before. Think, well- I don't know what to say?"

"Alright. If there is anything I can do please let me know."

"Okay." The poor girl nodded.

"I think there is more to it. And Amber, thank you for helping me as well. Thank you all. I am entirely grateful that you were there because you got worried." Tora smiled at your partner.

Make your move. You wink at Amber.

"Aww. Tora." Amber walked over to hug him while in his chair. His head in her upper chest. "Anytime. Remember that."

"Thank you." He blushed as she released him.

"Hello everyone." Chimed a certain woman with bunny ears.

Oh shit!

You knew it wasn't much of any cause to send her packing. Head Miss of the school thought she was helping everyone reach the level she strived for. This was a pain. Your partner and friends were amazing but this school was getting cynical. But hey the fact that one of you took down a powerful teacher meant the world. It means that eventually all of you could take her down with time. Just a matter of when.

"Sorry (FN)." Saddened Amber. "Least we get a chance to reach level two."

"All that matters. I'm not one to complain."

Miyabi slouched in her chair next to Tomoe. "That was a little much."

"What's going on with you? Thankfully you weren't hurt from that." Her partner smiled.

"That's true. But what about him? (FN). He's going to be a while. Before he's, well again."

"I think he heals fast Miyabi. Don't worry too much."

"Okay."

Class proceeded as normal. Lesson plans on why you're here and how to get stronger. It was off feeling since only the eight of you knew what was going on. Everyone else was just clueless. Was this an advantage or a curse because the stress was right on your chest? Either way just wild.

To make things more interesting the door opened. A tall girl with blonde hair and blue eyes walked right in. She stood right in between you and Tor at your desks.

"Hello there." She had this British accent.

"Yeah?" You asked.

"My goodness. You look a little tattered don't you?"

"Tell me something I don't know. How's that?"

"Okay then. Though you are rather dashing and cute."

"Thank you but no thank you if you get what I mean."

She gasped. "How rude."

"Me? You barge in here and won't even introduce yourself."

She cleared her throat. "Forgive me. I am Miss Bristol from the England campus. But I decided you all can refer to me as my first name Lilith."

"Riiiight. Now that's out of the way you need something Blondie? 'Cause I'm not in the mood."

"Aren't you the talk of the teacher's lounge?"

"I'm just a regular guy. Oh and with a crush on someone else. If you're looking for that we're done here. Bye. See ya." You wink at her.

"Excuse me?" Her hands on her hips. "Do you know who you're talking to?"

"A blonde full of herself and interrupting class. Bye Lily. The irregular is to my left. Bye again."

Amber nudged you. "Stop it." She whispered.

"Nope."

Lilith shook her head. "I'll deal with you later. Don't be a rude cripple. Not attractive."

"Not even sure if she even likes me. Whatever."

"Shut up." Amber pushed you.

Well you basically just screwed that up. Now everyone knows you have a hard crush on someone. Is everyone going to think it's Amber? Or someone going to just fight it out of you?
