Annie's POV

It's been a week since I contacted my family and I recieved a reply for the letter I sent straight away. I was a little suspicious though. There was no mention that Finnick or anyone might be coming after me. Maybe they really had accepted that they had to let me go.

On my way to Mexico I met Cassie Watson. She's wants to be an investigator of sorts. She wants to find out secrets and figure them out. She lived with her drunken dad and coming to Mexico was her way of escaping. Her mother died when she was younger and she'd always wanted to be a detective of sorts.

I am curious though. There's been no word of anyone coming after me, which either means they've let me go or that they've started following me. If it's anyone, it's probably Finn and Finnick.

Cassie's gone out grocery shopping when I hear a knock at the door. Partly curious and partly nervous, I head down slowly and open the door. To my utmost shock and surprise, I see Finnick and Finn stading on the doorstep of Cassie's villa.

I blink a few times before realising this is no dream.

"What are you doing here?!" I hiss, dragging them inside.

"Delivering letters!" Finn says, handing me an envelope.

I glare at him and tuck the envelope into my pocket.

"Seriously!"

"We came to bring you home." Finnick says.

"Where's your sister?" I ask.

"Back in District 4, oblivious to everything." Finnick replies.

I nod. "Well I'm not coming home. I've already made friends here and me and my friend Cassie are going to Switzerland next week. And this is her house, so I'd leave before she does something drastic when she gets back."

"Annie wait! You have to hear us out!" Finn says.

I look hesitantly at the clock. Cassie has been gone over an hour and will likely be back soon and I doubt she'd be very happy to walk in on me having a heart to heart with my brother and my . . . never mind.

"You have five minutes." I say.

They nod and I lead them into the sitting room. They each sit down and I sit in the seat opposite them.

"You know Dad is beating himself up right now because he thinks its his fault you left." Finn says.

I sigh. "Dad has nothing to worry about. It's his sister's fault. Not Dad's." I say, nodding towards Finnick.

"She had a name you know." Finnick says. "And I know you're angry at her. Quite frankly I'm also angry at her. We aren't on speaking terms at the moment. The point is, I know you're angry at her, and I don't expect you to forgive her. But she was angry and she made a mistake. And you used to be best friends. I'm not exactly sure how female friendship works but I'm sure that must count for something." Finnick sighs, coming to the end of his speech.

"First off, why aren't you talking to her? And second off, we might have been best friends, but I can't forgive her for something like that. No one should have told my parents but me and she knew I was going to tell them when I was ready. She took full advantage of the fact that I was nervous and turned it into a weapons he could use against me. I can't forgive anyone for that, not even someone who was my best friend." I say.
