CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE
“So your sister’s wedding is in two days how you feeling?”
I shrugged. “Normal to be honest but bridezilla seems a little stressed.”
Blaine grinned showing me his perfectly straight, white teeth. “Oh don’t remind me I was at the wrong end of her stress at the front door.”
“Try living with her the mood swings are terrible, what did she collar you for?” I asked him suspicious to find out what happened at the door.
Blaine paused for a second before answering me. “You know what sisters are like she just gave me a little lecture before handing you over.”
I smiled. “Oh right, and of course I know what they’re like having one is enough.”
“Try living with two.”
“You have two sisters?” I replied shocked.
“Last time I checked I did.”
“No way, and you never thought to tell me.”
“Why are you so shocked and besides you never asked.”
“I suppose so, tell me about them.”
“Just them, or do you want to know about the rest of my family too?” He asked me.
“Say whatever you want to tell me.”
“This is strange but alright. My older sister Cara is twenty six she’s married to some guy she met at university and she’s quit her modelling so they can have their first child she travels a lot but they’ve just brought a place in Russia. My younger sister is Pandora she’s eleven so there’s a bit of an age gap my Father had an affair my Mother divorced him and then two years later they were back together and that is my amazing family.” Blaine finished sarcastically.
“Are they going to be at the wedding?”
“It’s highly likely, I’m the best man.”
“That was a stupid question; then again there are one hundred and twenty confirmed guests and more could turn up on the day so I was just checking.” I laughed.
Blaine just rolled his eyes. “Your sister has invited half the world to her wedding.”
“Now come on, that is an exaggeration but you do have a point.”
“Exactly, are you ready to order?”
“You bet.”
Blaine called over the waiter who sat us and he quickly hurried over.
“You ready to order sir and madam?”
“Yes we are.”
Blaine looked at me just to check.
“Yeah, I am thank you.”
“Right then I’ll have salt cod brandade, 'Tartine', noir de bigorre ham, piquillo peppers, olives, confit tomatoes and quail's egg for my starter I think.”
I smiled at how effortless how Blaine’s pronunciation rolled off his tongue. “Erm, may I have the Smoked potato and poached hen’s egg ravioli with pak choi, roast chicken jus and leek v...v...”
“Velouté.” The waiter finished my stuttering sentence.
I nodded.
“You may.” The waiter said with a smile jotting it down on his pad “Are you having three courses tonight?”
“Yes we are.” Blaine said.
“May I ask what you are ordering for your main course and dessert?”
