I looked up from my biology book.
"What was that?"

There it was again. I walked over to my window and looked outside. A hooded figure was standing in front of my house.

"What the actual fuck?" I said out loud. "Who is that?"

My phone started ringing. I grabbed the device and answered the call, my eyes still on the hooded figure.

"Hello?"

"Get your ass downstairs and open the door, my dick is about to freeze off," a deep voice said.

"You fucking weirdo!" I yelled into the phone. "Why are you standing outside of my house at 1 am? You scared the living hell out of me!"

"Ah come on I wanted to surprise you," the hooded figure looked up, revealing his strong jaw and high cheekbones. "I heard you talking to Lisa today, about you wanting me to be more romantic."

"So you thought it would be romantic to stand outside my house at 1 am?" I scoffed.

"I brought food," he held a bag up.

"I'll be down in five," I said and ended the call, not missing Jamie's chuckle.

I looked at my room and cursed. It looked like a dump. After trying to tidy it up I ran downstairs, seeing a blur of myself in the hallway mirror, and opened the door.

There he was, leaning against the pillar of the porch, cigarette between his lips and typing away on his phone. A common position for Jamie

He looked up and smiled. "You missed the service, I just buried my dick."

I rolled my eyes and stepped outside, closing the door behind me. I shivered. It was indeed a cold night, goosebumps were already forming on my arms.

Jamie noticed and already began to unzip his jacket. "You don't have to do that," I said, stopping his hand.

"But you're cold,"

"Yeah, but I can get a jacket from inside. We're literally in front of my house."

"Ah come on, let me be romantic," he whined.

I rolled my eyes and took his jacket, holding back my smile. It smelled like him, cigarettes and his cologne that I knew all too well.

I'm definitely stealing this later.

The soft fabric was quickly warming me up, but I still crossed my arms.

"Do you really think I'm not romantic?" I suddenly heard beside me. I expected to see a playful smile on his lips, but his face was serious when I looked his way.

"I just don't want to hang out with the group all the time," I furrowed my eyebrows. "We never go somewhere alone, there's always someone with us."

"We never go somewhere alone?" He smirked.

I took the cigarette out of his hand and took a drag.

"You know what I mean," I said while giving him a serious look.

"Ok, ok, yes," he raised his hands defensively. "I do know what you mean and from now on I'll work on it."
