Chapter 30

I was released from the hospital and on my way home was I dreading it yes I was scared for my life but I have to be strong and face this head on. I see his car parked in the driveway and I slowly walk to the door. Do I knock do I just enter it's my house to so I open the door and walk inside I look to my left to see the glass was still shattered everywhere.

I walk upstairs to our bedroom to see Josh drinking away. He looks up and rushes over to me "WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU." He shouts as he bangs my head against the wall. "I-i-uh-I" "YOU FUCKING BITCH" he punches me in the face making me fall to the floor suddenly he retract his foot back and I automatically knew he was about to kick me in the stomach quickly moving my hands in front of me blocking his kick I get up and run to the bathroom locking the door. "OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR ISABELLA." He screams and bangs on the door making me fear for the worst.

The tears doesn't want to stop and he doesn't stop trying to kick the door down. "JOSH PLEASE STOP, PLEASE STOP." I shout my heart hurting at what is happening. "I'm sorry Isabella I'm sorry." He says I hear him crying and brave Isabella was going out. I unlock the door and see him on the floor crying. I hug him "it's okay Josh it's okay." I rub soothing circles on his back. After a few minutes I help a very intoxicated Josh to bed.

I walk downstairs and start cleaning up the mess. Slowly with caution picking up every single glass piece so I don't cut myself. I sweep the rest up and throw it away. I sit down of the sofa trying to process what I just went through. My phone rings it's Hailey.

"Are you at home."
"Yes I got home about an hour ago."
"How you feeling."
"Good just exhausted."
"Okay your baby shower is tomorrow."
"I completely forgot about it."
"I will pick you up at 8 tomorrow morning."
"Cool."

I hang up and head to the bathroom looking at my fresh bruised up eye how am I going to explain this to everybody tomorrow.

I walk up and it's 7am Hailey will be here in the next hour I make my way to the bathroom taking a quick shower once I was finished I grab my make up bag trying my best to cover up my bruise which just showed through my foundation. I sigh and walk to the room grabbing the biggest sunglasses I owned. Josh wakes up making my body stiff as I stare back at him. "Where off too so early." "Uhm it's my baby shower Hailey going to be here any minute." "Dare you tell anybody what happened Isabella I will kill you with my bare hands."

Those words made my body shake the doorbell rings I quickly place my glasses on and head downstairs. "What's with the glasses." She says as she looks at me oddly. "Uhm I have pink eye." "Oh well let's go are you excited." "Mmmm" was all I could say. I look out the window thinking about everything and what if I made the decision to stay with Grayson would my life have been different.

We arrive at my parents house with balloons and pink boards everywhere. I walk into the house to see everybody my family, Grayson Parents with Ethan, Madison and Grayson. "Hey everybody." I say everybody looks at me oddly. "Why are you wearing glasses Izzy." My mom points out making me want to run away. "I have a bad case of pink eye mom and last time I checked it was something contagious." She looks at me then brushes it off. "Where is your boyfriend." "He just arrived home from Afghanistan mom he is tired so I am letting him rest."

"Okay let's open up some gifts." She leads me to a chair and the places Grayson next to me. He gives me one look and then grabs my hands and pulls me into the kitchen. "What's wrong with you Grayson." "Take off your glasses." "No" "I SAID TAKE OFF YOUR DAMN GLASSES." He shouts making me step back reminding me of Josh. "Isabella I'm sorry I didn't mean to shout and scare you." I couldn't help but cry. He walks over to me and wipes away my tears as he slowly takes off my glasses and looks at me in shocked.

"Isabella What is going on how can you allow this." He says as he breaks down and cries. "Bella look at yourself, look at what you doing to yourself what if he had to hurt our unborn child you allowing this monster to lay his hands on you. FUCK MAN." He says as he walks out. "GRAYSON." "I'm going to fuck him up." He says as everybody looks at him then back at me. "He hit you." Was all my mother said before storming out the house with my dad and brothers following her. Grayson was long gone with Ethan and I knew I had to text Josh to get out of there.

ME: Josh they found out I swear I didn't tell them they just assumed please get out of the house now they on there way.

I sit down as Lisa comes over to me. "My poor baby look at your face." She touches my bruised face and I wince in pain. "How does a man beat a woman up like this what kind of psycho is this." I don't say anything and just ignore her. She starts crying and I couldn't help but walk away. I walk upstairs and up to my room Well a room that use to be mine everything is exactly how I left it. I lay down on my bed and just cry Yes Josh hit me but I love him and I still want to be with him and I hate my family for going after him.

"Ella can I come in" Hailey asks from the door. "Sure" she walks over to my bed and sits down. "Hey I am not here to judge you I have been in a toxic relationship before and I ran back many times but that was me I was alone you aren't you can't think about yourself Ella you have to think of Bailey what if something happens to her you going to hate yourself."

"Hails something happened to him something triggered him while he was away he was not the same person when he got back I saw something different in him and I am not going to allow myself to sit back and have this demon take over his body Hails I love him."

Tears stream down my face as she pulls me closer for a hug. My door swings open almost breaking off its hinges. I look to see a pissed off Grayson "This isn't fair Isabella you lied to me you told me he didn't almost strangle you to death you fucking lied. I can't even stand to look at you right now. You not The Isabella I know the one I fell in love with the girl who sung at the top of her lungs knowing the world was watching her not caring you came so far with your mental illness to only land back in the hands of an abuser. FUCK MAN."

At this point everybody was in my room listening to Grayson I couldn't say a single word what he said was true. "Remember I promised you that I will allow you to explore this relationship to experience and make mistakes. But now I am done I am done standing around watching you fuck up your life. You deserve better then that Isabella." 

"And what you going to give me a better life Grayson. You fucked me up just as bad as he did I loved you you were my first true love and you fucked me over I would rather get beaten up every single day then to get hurt from the one that claims to love me."

"Wow Isabella you really have changed. I can't believe I actually love you here I am fighting for our family and you going to throw it all away for a psychopath. I told you if I find out he beat you up I was going to take you to court for full custody of Bailey no way in hell am I allowing you to bring my daughter up with a abusive freak."

"She is my daughter too Grayson you can't do this to me." "Watch me." Was all he said and walked out.
