Packing. Oh my god, packing.Especially when you're genderfluid, packing is hard.
For one to two nights:
What I've started to do is just bring at least three different options for each clothing piece, female, male, and neutral. It depends on your spectrum, but try to satisfy for the possibility of any of your genders. I personally switch between a lot of genders. Some intermix so I use that to my advantage. For example, demiboy and male. Additionally for me demiboy feels like lack of gender for one half and male for the other half, so I can throw in my agender days there. If you're starting to have a heavy bag, maybe leave out options for underwear or socks. For me, I always wear a bra no matter what gender I am so that would stay the same. For longer than a couple of days: OK THIS IS HONESTLY SO FRUSTRATING! Sometimes I just give up on week long trips, I pack an outfit for each day and hope that I dont have any repeat days or anything. I always bring extra clothes anyway for emergencies, but it still always goes south. I dont have many tips for this unless you have a portable closet for all of your clothing options. For people with only two genders that they switch through, you people are lucky. You can probably get away with doing, for example if your spectrum is just between the binary genders, male and female alternating outfits. Other than that, I dont know what tips to give. Accessories can help, if you're having a female day but all you have left is a male or agender outfit, you can rock it and put on earings or other jewlery that bring out that feminine part of you. I'm not saying that guys(or on a guy day) can't wear jewlery, I'm just saying some accessories can feel more feminine or masculine.
These tips can expand to every day. Say you aren't out to your parent(s). You have to work with what clothes you have. I am fortunate enough to have grown up wearing a mix of female and male clothing, mostly the latter. They're more comfortable, just saying. On my female days, I dont have much to pick through since most of my shirts and shorts are masculine or gender neutral. Hence why on those days I will add just a bit of feminine feel, perfume or leaving my hair down. Now that I have cut 12 HECKING INCHES OFF MY HAIR, I can no longer really do my hair much. I can attempt to put my hair in a ponytail for guy days but I need my mom's help and hair spray. IF YOU HAVE LONG HAIR, USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF FEMININE DAYS.I have more non-binary days so I can get away with short hair and be fine with it.
Good luck to you all, stay safe and stay proud! Have fun with your gender identity!
You are valid; you are perfect.
