A BaekYeon Story

11 - Something New

Taeyeon stepped out of the conference room lifelessly. She has just finished the meeting with some SM staffs and producers regarding SNSD's upcoming comeback on 2014 and some discussion about their contract. She never thought it would drain her energy so much when she said she would come alone today. They are currently on their world tour schedule and the schedule has been hell since day one. Taeyeon did not have the heart to invite her other members for this meeting when she saw all of them sleeping back at their dorm.

Glancing to the watch on her wrist, she sighed as she made the way to the elevator. Just when she was about to push the button, she heard a voice calling her name.

"Kim Taeyeon!"

"Heechul oppa?" raising her brows, she also notice another presence next to her favorite brother. Isn't it Baekhyun?

"Ya, where are you going?" asked Heechul as he already stands in front of her.

"Annyeonghaseyo, nuna," he said. Baekhyun could not believe that he will meet her right now at this hour. At freaking eleven at night? My face sure will look like shit, he thought.

"Oh, hi, Baekhyun!" she smiled as she greets him back before turning to Heechul, "going home. Just finished the meeting for our comeback," she replied.

"Where are the others?"

"I can't help but silently left the others this evening, they looked so tired because of the tour,"

Heechul sighed. Again, Taeyeon would always put others in front of her. It's not like it's her only responsibility to attend this meeting yet she still chose to be alone. Her and her selflessness is somehow worrying.

"I know what you are thinking but I'm fine," Baekhyun felt bad when he saw the forced smile Taeyeon gave to them. She is really bad at lying. Her eyes look drowsy and her eye bag is even worse, not to mention the very pale skin of her face and how disheveled her hair looked. Heck, he is super sure Heechul could also notice it when he saw his expression hardens.

"I will forgive your lie in one condition," said Heechul. And before Taeyeon could utter a single word, he shoved her mouth shut with his hand and say "join us for a late night snack, and I will drop you by your dorm,"

Taeyeon looked back and forth from Heechul and Baekhyun. Baekhyun on the other hand is caught off guard when he heard Heechul inviting her. Spending the night together is going to be his unforgettable experience yet he is also worried it would be super awkward.

But it's not.

Hours later, he found himself laughing like a mad person with Taeyeon on her side and Heechul in his other side. The group of three are circling a table full of snacks and some soju.

It does not take any effort to persuade her to join them. Taeyeon gave in so easily when she said she also need someone to talk to. And here they are, chatting comfortably between each other.

"So, Baekhyun..., how could you get close to Heechul?" she asked the man next to her. The said man chuckled before his mouth form a square shaped grin.

"It was during that time on SMTOWN. I was playing a game in my phone when hyung appeared next to me and say: "I also played that thing!". It was bemusing because after that he invited me to play together and we become game buddies and now we are close," he said.

"You know what? The beginning of our friendship is also weird. It was during our early debut, I was taking a break from the practice and I was playing my toy car on the hallway. Yes, I know it's weird, don't laugh at me!" she tossed both Baekhyun and Heechul a fries before she continues, "and when I was playing it, the car hit someone else's foot. I was so scared when I saw it was a Super Junior member so I stood froze while staring at him," she laughed at the last sentence.
