A BaekYeon Story

12 - Between Us

November 14th, 2013

Ever since that day where they hung out together, the three started to gather quite frequently. Heechul will randomly invited them to come to his place or sometimes somewhere else. Baekhyun and Taeyeon will just oblige since Heechul never takes 'no' as an answer.

Aside from their frequent meeting, both Taeyeon and Baekhyun is starting to be even more comfortable around each other. Taeyeon takes him as a precious younger brother that she loves to take care of. And Baekhyun takes her as an older sister that he adores the most. As if that title sticks forever...

Was it called magical winter?

Taeyeon silently felt something different growing inside her heart. Those feeling she had on Baekhyun started to change slowly, but she knows where exactly it is headed to. And she knows how dangerous and reckless for her if she let herself fall into that.

"Nuna?" a too familiar deep voice wakes her up from her thoughts. It was another night of their frequent met up. They decided to meet at their company building before heading out since it is the safest meeting point they could ever think of.

Baekhyun smiles as he saw her looking up to him. He could not resist the urge inside his throat when he saw the appearance of Taeyeon tonight. She keeps it simple, with a tank top beneath an oversized shirt, she completes her look with a round glasses. In whole, she looks breathtakingly beautiful, and sexy as well.

"Hi," she chortled and shifted her body to make some space for Baekhyun. She was writing something on her paper and Baekhyun took the seat next to her to see what she wrote.

"I doodled in my free time," she said as if she could read Baekhyun's mind. Baekhyun nodded and leaned forward to see a clearer view of her drawings.

"It's cute," he smiles warily, trying so hard to hide his expression. On the other hand, Taeyeon felt the sudden rise of heat against his cheek when she saw how close his body next to her.

Keep it down, Taeyeon!

"Thanks," she replied, too short since she could not handle her heart. Sitting too close to him is not helping at all. Why must this man brings so much effect on her?

"Where is Heechul oppa anyway?" asked Taeyeon, realizing that another presence is needed to make the situation better. She pulled out her phone to check on her message but there is none from him.

"I don't know...," Baekhyun left his words hanging as he tried to read the look on her face.  Thankfully, Taeyeon is too focused on her phone to not realize his sudden change of expression. He scraped his neck, not knowing whether to tell her the truth or not.

"He must be late," she mumbled. Baekhyun could only nod, his mind is jumbled with all the confusion inside his head.

-3 hours before the meeting-

Baekhyun was about to take a shower when he heard his phone rings. He picked it up and slide it when he saw the caller id.

"Yes hyung?"

"Baekhyunaaaahhh," he chuckled as he heard Heechul on the other side.

"You are coming tonight right!?"

"Eyy, of course hyung! I will never pass the invitation if you are buying us meal,"

Heechul laughed, "ahh, is that so?"

Baekhyun sensed an awkward silence following his laugh. After his laughter dies, he could heard Heechul's cough before he continued.
