The Everlasting Rose

Chapter 5

A/N: Hi guys! Thank you so much for reading! I just wanted to let you know that I have started a Johnlock story called How to Save a Life. It's set after season two and it's an AU of Sherlock's return. Anyway, my friend gave me the idea for this and I loved it so much! So thank you! You are absolutely brilliant! The Ponds were standing at the console talking when The Doctor and Rose came in and bounded up the stairs toward them.

"Ready for an adventure, Ponds?" The Doctor ran to the console and started flipping switches and pressing buttons.

"Um. . . Rose? Are you okay? Shouldn't we wait until you're better? You did just collapse." Rory questioned, his nurse habits coming out.

"Oh no. I'm fine. All better." Rose smiled at him.

"Okay. . . Well let's go then!" Amy said excitedly.

Just as she spoke the TARDIS landed roughly. As soon as the room stopped shaking, Rose ran to the door. She stepped out and gasped.

The sky was filled with every color in a brilliant light show. The lights wove in and out of each other, dancing in the sky. She finally tore her eyes away from the lights and looked at where they were. The TARDIS had landed in a field a little ways away from a huge city with a massive stone castle on the other side. The whole scene was very picturesque.

Rose was so enthralled by it that she didn't notice everyone else step out of the TARDIS, or The Doctor come stand beside her. She realized this when he reached down and grabbed her hand, entwining their fingers. It was second nature to him, he always instinctively reached out for Rose's hand, even if she wasn't there.

"Drentov." He said when she looked at him. "Their sky is always like that. A lot of people come here to see it."

" 'S beautiful." Rose was still in awe of it.

He smiled. "I thought you'd like it."

Amy began to walk towards the city. "Come on! Let's go see the city."

The others followed. It wasn't a long walk, and when they reached the city, they saw a lot of shops selling all kinds of things. After a lot of begging, The Doctor agreed to spend some time shopping. Rose and Amy looked in a jewelry store while Rory and The Doctor went to see what other stores there were. The Doctor had been hesitant to leave Rose, and only caved because Amy was with her. While they were shopping, Amy decided that she really liked Rose. She was definitely perfect for The Doctor. Amy wondered if her and The Doctor had been involved romantically. When she asked Rose, she just said "It's complicated."

"I see the way you look at each other. It's like he means everything to you. He looks at you the same way." Amy knew because her and Rory were the same way.

Rose smiled sadly. "I just don't know if The Doctor's ready for a relationship." Amy decided to let it go. For now.

They spent a while in the shop and Amy ended up buying a pretty bracelet that Rose had picked out for her. They walked out and began searching for Rory and The Doctor. The Doctor had been in a store trying to find a part for the TARDIS, and Rory had been buying a gift for Amy. The group started walking down the street again when something caught Rose's eye. She turned around and saw a man staring at her. He saw her looking at him and smirked at her.

Rose turned back around to catch up with the group, when she felt a hand over her mouth. She was dragged to a black car in an alley, all the while kicking, fighting, and trying to bite the hand covering her mouth. There were at least three men helping kidnap her. They shoved her into the car and the man she saw earlier appeared. He pulled something out of his pocket and grabbed Rose's arm. It was too late when she realized what was happening. He inserted the drug into her arm and Rose went limp.

All of this happened very quickly, By the time The Doctor noticed Rose's absence (which wasn't very long cosidering how protective he is over her), the car was driving away.

"Where's Rose?" He asked trying to stay calm. He told himself she probably just stopped to peek into a shop.

"She was right beside me a second ago." Amy said starting to look around like The Doctor was. Neither of them could see her. "Maybe she went into a shop."

They searched all the stores in that area until they were certain Rose wasn't there.

Finally Rory said what they had all been thinking, "She was kidnapped."
