Elijah looked through the window, the neon lights beaming outside didn't seem to disappear. It was his first week in the city and he knew that for a town kid like him getting accustomed to the noisy and shiny metropolis was going to be pretty hard.

He stood up in his darkroom in silence for a couple of minutes while trying to remember the smell of pine trees and mud. He missed all of that very dearly, he never grew tired of those things. The delicious aroma of wood in the fireplace, the sound of children running in the snow, that was histown to him. But now, he was in the middle of a chaotic mix of voiceshe didn't recognize and engines he never saw in his little village in the now far mountains.

This was his adventure to the outside world, his first time. And despite being a bit overwhelmed, he was not giving up in any moment, this was his own choice. He had faith or maybe he was just a fool, a bored fool, or maybe a curious one.

He laid on the bed, rolled around a couple of times, another sleepless night. But not like this.He stood up again and decided to get ready to go outside. Elijah, thetown boy, was going to venture into the streets of Nova Lucia at night. He wasn't ready.
