The pupil ran towards the wagon, the door was about to close. He got in. Squeezed between the commuters, Elijah held his bag close and waited in the crowd for the name of the destination.
"SantaDeos, we have arrived to Santa Deos"
Without lossing any second, he exited the wagon. Antonio was waiting for hi min at the entrance, satchel in hand, he waved his hand as soon as he saw him. Elijah did the same and approached his classmate.
"Goodmorning! How are you doing?"
"Um...Sorry for being late I just fell asleep" Apologized Elijah quietly
"Onlyby one minute, is not that bad. I have only been waiting for five minutes anyways."
"Uh?"Elijah looked at Antonio "But there are trains every ten minutes"
"The train was tightly packed so I decided to walk for a bit."
It made perfect sense, and knowing that he also was a boy from the region of mountains, snow and frozen rivers a walk was not a bigthing.
"Looks like I have a roommate... I met him yesterday" He remembered how that night at dinner the man didn't show up and answered that he actually had a sizable snack before arriving to the dorm. But late at night he could hear the opening and closing of the fridge, multiple times "He is abit.. Weird?"
"Whoa! Is he a Silver Crest? Like us?" Inquired the shorter one
"No,but I think he is a student. At least he looks like one."
They walked along the halls, the sun was already beaming outside, entering through the glasswork of the windows, tinting the light in a golden hue. When the heavy sound of stone against marble echoed. The two freshmen looked at each other in surprise. Where did the sound came from?
"You don't understand, is her fault!"
Elijah and Antonio turned right, they found what they wanted. It wasanother Silver Crest, from a different year. He had a big round stone in his hand, his face was red and he was sweating.
"You are the one that doesn't understand, sir! Please, someone call the prefects!"
The one who answered was a Golden Crest, he was covering someone else's face with his tunic. They could hear the protegee's shaky whimpers. Another Golden Crest was there, and went running towards the offices.
"She is the reason why my friend is gone, why are you protecting her?"
"We should go to class" suggested Antonio
Elijah nodded in silence and passed next to what it looked like some petty teen drama.
