Pairing: Fili x Reader (possible Thranduil x Reader)
Summary: When the Company is captured in Mirkwood, Thranduil starts to flirt with (Y/N), the only girl in the company. Fili gets rather jealous, to say the least.'Well, shit.' You thought to yourself, trapped in a Mirkwood Prison Cell. The ground was dirty, and a deep pit of distress resided in your stomach. Everyone was trapped in prison cells, but you were put in a solitary cell because you were the only girl. You almost chuckled at the thought of that, but the gloom of this situation still clung to your being.
'At this rate, the Company will never get to Erebor...' You pulled your knees closer to your chest, taking a deep breath to calm your anguish.
"Psst. (Y/N), are you okay?" You heard from the cell off to your right - it was Kili.
"Yeah.. I just hope we can get out of here..." You sighed.
"Thorin should be handling it right now.." Balin said back.
Before you could reply, you heard the door to the prison creak open. A pair of Elvish guards strode into the room. A spark of worry struck through your being when they stopped in front of your cell, taking out a ring of keys and swinging the door open.
"King Thranduil requested your presence." One of the Guards huffed.
"What!?" The other Dwarves began yelling, slamming on their cell doors and trying to help you.
The guards stomped into your cell, grabbing you by your arms and dragging you away. You tried your best to escape, swinging around and trying to break free, and yet it was no use. Though, you did seem to agitate the Guards, as one of them turned and slapped you clear across the face, almost knocking you down and shutting you up for a second or two.
"Don't you dare lay a hand on her!!" You could hear Fili shout angrily, slamming against his cell, along with everyone else.
You could hear the other Dwarves calling out to you, frantically trying to get to you and help, and you desperately called back to them as you were forcefully dragged out of the room. The Guards dragged you down long hallways, as you tried your best to fight the whole way along, and yet, you felt weak.
You tried to remain strong - now was not a time for tears. And yet, deep in your heart, you were scared. Getting stuck and captured in Mirkwood was bad enough, and now you were separated from your friends - you didn't know how things could get any worse! You were carried along to the throne room, and the guards forced you to your knees.
You looked up, seeing Thranduil - king of the Mirkwood elves. For all of your hatred and fear in this moment, you had to admit that he seemed quite handsome. Tall and Lean, with luxurious silver hair, upon which sat a crown of twigs and berries. He wore long robed and his blue eyes looked to you curiously - a young and beautiful girl, angry and on her knees in front of him, looking down to the ground. He kneeled down to you, placing his hand under your chin and pulling your face up to look at him.
"Now, what is a fine woman like you doing with a nasty band of Dwarves?" He cooed.
"They are my friends." You growled, clearly angered.
"Hm." He sighed, "But why? Surely someone like you could do better."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" You snapped.
He smiled, chuckling lightly and standing fully up.
"Release her." He commanded the Guards, as they let you go and went to stand by the edges of the room, just in case you tried anything. You groaned, muscles sore from fighting them, and face still sore and slightly red from the slap. And yet, you hauled yourself to the ground, looking the king dead in the eye. He admired how your eyes seemed to burn with emotion. Thranduil smiled.
"You certainly are curious, aren't you?"
Your hands shook with anger and confusion, but you know that those guards would assault you the second you tried something. So, you stood, trying to still your nerves. Even if you couldn't escape, perhaps you get get intel or help.
"How do you mean?" You asked, trying (and failing) not to glare.
"I see a fire within you. Defiant and fierce." He sighed, "And yet..."
He placed a gentle hand on the side of your face, moving hair out of the way so he could gaze into your (e/c) eyes.
"There is a gentleness..." He stepped back. "You'd make a fine queen, indeed."
A spark shot through you as you became dreadfully aware of this situation. The Elf King himself was trying to woo you... Your stomach almost churned at the thought. For as handsome and grande as this Elf seemed, he certainly did not hold your heart. You mind flooded with thoughts of Fili, the Dwarvish Prince who you were truly smitten with. No way in Mahal were you ever going to lose him for this Elf.
"Don't even think about it." You hissed in defiance, "You may have me captured, but you will never hold my heart."
Thranduil frowned, upset.
"Take her back, then."
The same guards rushed over, snagging you by the arms and dragging you off to the prison cells. And yet, along the way, you noticed something. You saw a small Hobbit staring at you from the corner of a room.
Immediately recognizing Bilbo, you lept into action. Your veins flooded with fury, instantly grabbing a guard and twisting his arm, before kicking him swiftly in the gut, thus knocking him to the ground. When the other Guard tried to react, you kneed him in the groin and punched him in the face - smiling to yourself, and seeing it as payback for the swift slap he had dealt earlier. Having defeated the guards, you rushed over to a very impressed Bilbo.
"Bilbo, where are the others?" You asked, somewhat frantic.
"Come with me."
The burglar led you to a room full of barrels. Confused at first, you soon noticed these barrels did not hold Fish - they held Dwarves. Understanding in a heartbeat, you dashed into a barrel. The other Dwarves noticed you were back, but before they could rejoice at your safe return, the barrels were suddenly dunked into a river. And so, the race to escape from Mirkwood began.
When you all washed up on the shore, you were soaked to the bone. You felt tired and sore as you dragged yourself out of the wooden barrel, happily setting foot on dry land again.
"(Y/N)!"
You turned you head as someone called you name, just in time for someone to pull you into a tight hug - It was Fili. The other Dwarves, such as Thorin, Kili, Bofur and Ori swarmed you, asking what happened and if you were okay.
"Thranduil asked me to be his Queen." You chuckled, seeing all their faces change into that of shock.
"Did you say Yes!?" Fili questioned.
"Oh hell no!" You laughed, making the Company sigh in relief.
"Oh, good." Fili said, utterly relieved.
"Besides," You giggled, "There's only one man that has stolen my heart..."
With that, you pulled Fili in for a loving kiss, which he gladly returned. You two knew one another's feelings for some time now. But in that moment, seeing one another get pulled away, you knew this love was real.
"I love you, (Y/N)." Fili sighed as you pulled away.
"I love you too." You responded, hugging close to his chest.
