"Are you okay?" grumbled the boy beneath the covers.

Crouched on her side in pain the girl hummed back.

"I'll go get you a hot water bottle, love. You'll feel better then," spoke Sweet Pea.

She watched as the green eyed boy lazily walked out of the room.

Oh how lucky she was to have a life like this, a family like hers and a boyfriend like this.

The serpents stood round the Queen who lazily props up her legs on the leather chair while Jughead stood by her talking to the gang.

"It's come to our attention that one of us has been dealing fizzle rocks, slinging dope is not what serpents do. So from this moment on, we're going clean. There will be no selling or doing drugs. No crime of any kind will be tolerated. Anyone who breaks the Serpent code will be exiled, permanently,"

"I think it's pretty ridic that you vanish for a month in some bison quest with your bestie only to return and lecture us about responsibility," spoke Cheryl smirking

"We've got no money coming in Jug I mean how are we supposed to eat? Survive?"

"We'll figures it out and get back to you Fangs. All of you," spoke FP "in the mean time, in unity there is strength,"

Once the serpents dispersed, Aviana caught up with the red head.

"Cheryl"

Humming back, Cheryl and Toni turned around.

"If your going to continue with your disrespectful attitude you won't be here for much longer,"

"Oh really, go for it, annihilate me,"

"Back off Jones," grumbled Toni

"You too Topaz," sneered the Jones girl "you'll be out"

Whipping round and walking off she left the couple catching up with her giant of a lover, slinging an arm as far as she could around him.

Days later

"Serpents!" Aviana called "earlier today Jughead brokered a deal. Got us a paid gig. From here on out we will be working security detail for Veronica Lodge, her speakeasy and her employees."

"Long live the serpents," Shouted Sweet Pea.

This time Jughead spoke, "I know it's good news for a change but I've also gathered us here for less celebratory reasons,"

"Cheryl, Toni come up here," spoke Aviana

"Excuse me? What did we do?" Asked Cheryl

"You broke into the Lodge apartment and stole a Glamerge egg," said Jughead

Now standing up, Cheryl stepped forward, "so what if we did?"

"Well more than that you left your calling card attaching yourself and by extension, all of the serpents to your crime," now stepping forward towards the blossom girl, Aviana glared.

"I'm not afraid of Lodge. What's he gonna do? Call the sheriff? Oh right there is no sheriff," she smirked

"That's not the point Cheryl. You broke the code. Turn in your jackets and go," calmly spoke the Jones girl

"Are you serious Jones? I'm a Serpent by blood you cant take that away from me," Toni's eyes glasses over as she spoke

"You hypocrite Aviana, you give your drug dealing bestie a pass but you crucify us?" Shouted Cheryl

"In case you were wondering how we know, Fangs told Sweet Pea, who told me," spoke Toni

"Who told me,"

"Sweet Pea," Aviana glared at her boyfriend.

"If your asking for our jackets, should you be asking for his?"

"Av? Jug?" Spoke Betty

"Your right," said Jughead "fangs give me your jacket,"

"Hey what the hell man," shouted Sweet Pea lunging forward but getting stopped by Aviana

"It's okay Sweet Pea," Fangs ragged his jacket off and slamming it to the ground, "some leaders you are,"

"Cheryl? Toni?" Asked Aviana

"We'll Go but we are keeping the jackets,"

"Fine but we need that egg back,"

"Excuse me come again?" Cheryl asked

"We need that damn egg. Or Veronica won't give us the contract," spoke Jughead

"Why the hell would I car I'm not a Serpent anymore,"

"You fucking bitch," growled Aviana

"Because I believe that you still have honour Cheryl. And it's getting cold out and the rest of us don't get to go back to thistle house,"
