After a couple overpasses through the sky, Lilias saw Goliath land by Elisa, and Lilias quickly followed suit.

"I didn't find anything else out of the ordinary," Elisa told them.

"What about that?" Goliath asked pointing to the shadowed form of an oil rig.

"The oil rig?" Elisa asked. "Looks abandoned."

"Not quite, Elisa," Lilias said, pointing down at a speed boat heading towards it.

"Well, someone seems to have found a new use for it," Goliath added.

"We're going and checking out whatever is going on, right?" Lilias asked, one part hopeful, and the other part knowing.

"Yes," Goliath answered as he quickly picked Elisa up and jumped out over the water. Lilias smiled and followed, ignoring the sensation of someone studying her. As the group glided over the rig, they saw Xanatos pinning Dr. Sevarius high against the wall.

"What would put Xanatos and Sevarius at each other's throats?" Elisa mused aloud.

"Who knows what people like them would fight over," Lilias commented. "Besides money," she added as an afterthought.

"Let's not interrupt them just yet," Goliath said. "I want to look inside." Lilias followed his lead and the two gargoyles landed quietly on another part of the rig. Almost as soon as they touched down and Goliath had set Elisa down, a very Goliath-like roar of pain sounded.

"You hear that?" Elisa asked.

"The oil tank," Goliath said as he looked over to the entrance. He spun the seal on the door and heaved it open on squeaking hinges.

Lilias took a half step back. "Me and my fire will stay safely over here. You two have fun." Elisa shrugged as she followed Goliath into the room. Lilias heard a very Goliath-like voice and wandered closer to make out the conversation.

"... at last. I am Thailog," the copy cat said.

"Woah," Elisa said.

"What kind of abomination are you?" Goliath asked testily.

Thailog, or Lilias assumed it was Thailog and not Goliath, growled. "The same kind as you. It was your blood that spawned me."

"That explains a lot," Lilias muttered to herself as she continued to listen.

"My blood!" Goliath, again assumed, exclaimed.

"Oh, my gosh," Elisa started, the pieces falling into place for her. "He's a clone. They grew him from a piece of you, like a cutting from a plant." Lilias shook her head; she knew that all that techy stuff was way more complicated than that, especially with how much Tailog sounded like Goliath.

Goliath, or Thailog, muttered something. "This thing is me! First Xanatos steals my home, now he pieces out my very soul."

Definitely Goliath, Lilias thought with a tense smile. She knew she'd be just as upset to find out that an enemy had created a copy of her. One of the gargoyles growled lowly and angrily. Lilias stepped back again as she heard Elisa start talking; though she hadn't known the human for long, she knew that if anyone could find some sense of peace in the situation it would be Elisa. Mere moments later Lilias' ears pricked at an alarmed sound in Elisa voice.

"Stop!" Elisa's voice rang clear, even from where Lilias stood. She jumped with a wing assist to the door. A dark grey colored Goliath, who she assumed was Thailog, held a mask of some sort over their Goliath's mouth. Goliath's movements turned sluggish and he went limp.

"And just for the record," Thailog started as he stood up. "I'm more of a gargoyle than he'll ever be." He started laughing maniacally and stalked towards Elisa.

"I doubt that!" Lilias exclaimed as she jumped into the small area and tackled Thailog. He stumbled back at the force, but--seeing that he was about to step on Goliath's still form--Lilias back winged as best as she could and sent them back towards Elisa. Thailog forcefully pushed her off and lunged towards the mask and gas that he had used to knock Goliath out just moments earlier. Lilias jumped towards him and used him as a boost to the far wall. She underestimated his speed, and Thailog managed to grabbed onto her ankle just as her claws sank into the metal wall. Lilias growled and flailed her tail in an attempt to get him to get him to let go. Thailog's grip didn't falter like she wanted it to and he pulled down on her foot. Lilias yelped as she slipped down the wall before craning her head and spitting flame at his hand. He gasped and let her go to avoid getting burned; Lilias took the opportunity to lung towards the door.

"You'll never get back in time!" Thailog yelled after her. Lilias ignored him as she took to the air. She glanced behind her but didn't see Thailog try and follow her. Though slightly strange, she wasn't about to complain at the turn of luck. Pumping her wings to gain altitude, she finally spotted Thailog exit the room and take off, a small circular object in his hand. He glided to where Xanatos and Sivarius were talking and planted the device square in the middle of Xanatos' chest. Lilias winced at the electric light that surrounded Xanatos at the contact. He fell to the ground and, hopefully, just passed out. Thailog then grabbed the good doctor and Xanatos and dragged them back to the oil tank where Elisa and Goliath were.
