Don't hurt me

Warnings: Blood, near death experiences, swearing

Summary: Pine has been working with Detective Decker and the club owner Lucifer for a few weeks on investigations. The latter has been flirting with the former sniper throughout the past few weeks. Pine has just remembered a contact of his that could help with the current homicide case. Things don't go as planned though.

Dan sighed softly, frowning. "There's nothing we can do as of right now. Everything's been leading to a dead end and there's no way to pin the murder on Jacques." He spoke, looking over the evidence. He was in the forensic lab with Lucifer, Chloe, Ella, and Pine looking over the evidence they'd gathered from the recent murder.

He suddenly looked over at Pine. "You've been awfully quite this whole time Pine. Got any ideas?" He asked curiously. "Yeah, actually. I might know how to track down Jacques. He always holds these grand and exquisite parties at one of his private mansions on the outskirts of the city." Pine spoke, grabbing his phone out of his pocket.

"I know someone who might be able to help catch our bad guy." He noticed the suspicious looks from everyone and tensed. "What?"

"You seem to know a lot about Jacques. Care to tell us why?" Chloe replied back, looking Pine over. Pause. Laughter then left the taller detective.

"You don't seriously think I'm an accomplice? Listen, I didn't always work as a detective alright? My old job gave me a lot of access to super important and high up people, including my contact. She more than likely has dealt with Jacques, for better or for worse." He replied back.

"Give me a couple minutes. I can call and ask her about Jacques, see if she can get into tonight's party." Pine spoke before shifting into the corner of the room. He dialled Annex's number before waiting. Ella looked Pine over, raising a brow. "That...makes me curious on what his old job was. Anyone know?" All she got were shrugs.

Lucifer did find it interesting though. He wondered what Pine used to do before being a detective. He quietly texted Mazikeen, hoping she could find out more on Pine. He pocketed his phone as the man in question returned after a moment.

"Alright so she said she could pull some strings, talk to people, and get two tickets for the party. She did say she's busy tonight so I'll have to go with someone else." Pine spoke, putting away his phone. "I'll go." Dan spoke up, watching Pine closely.

Lucifer laughed softly. "From the looks of our killer, he's a fancy, high end guy. I'm sorry detective douche but you couldn't sneak in even if you tried. You look too much like a cop." He spoke before looking to Pine. "I'll join you."

Dan glared softly at Lucifer before Pine spoke. "He's right Dan. As much as you're a nice guy and a good cop, you look too much like a cop. Even how you carry yourself. If we want to catch our bad guy we can't let him suspect for even a moment that we're cops."

He spoke earning a soft sigh from Dan as he backed off. "The party starts tonight at 10pm. That means that I and Lucifer have to be ready and prepared before then. Since it's so high end, we have to look as posh and shallow as possible." Ella laughed quietly at that.

"Alright so we have to give the both of you com links to wear before then. We also have to come up with a plan on how things will play out." Chloe spoke up after a moment, sighing softly. "I don't like the idea of sending the two of you in there since Lucifer's basically trigger happy—" "Am not!" "Anyways. Do you have the address and tickets?"

Pine shook his head, humming softly. "Not yet but knowing Annex she's more than likely already delivered them to my house. Lucifer you have to meet me at my place okay? We can take my car since it'll blend in more."
