"Why'd you ask me to come?" Hunter's cool breath tickled my cheeks, the close proximity causing my them to redden.

I shrugged, not wanting to admit the real reason I had invited him.

"What, just out of fucking courtesy, then? Nothing more?"

I took a step backwards. I wasn't shocked by the swearing, I was shocked by his tone. "What the hell are you talking about, Hunter?"

"What do you think I'm taking about?" He practically growled.

There he went again- acting like a fucking barbarian.

Hunter stepped closer and my throat seized up. He lifted a hand up to stroke my cheek, and for a minute I was tempted to let him... but then common sense seeped back in, and I moved away subtly.

Hunter noted my movements and a muscle flickered in his jaw.

"Hunter... stop. You know we can't." I murmured, looking anywhere but his face.

A mask subtly slipped over his face, contorting his features into cool indifference.

"And why is that?" He said, crossing his arms.

It was my turn to snap. "You know why. You have a girlfriend - you're with Aimmée. It's wrong!"

He smirked. "How noble of you."

That was it. He was being a dick and it was about time someone told him about it.

"Don't you patronise me! How could you not care about her? She is a human being, so if you're going to do this with random girls, you could at least have the decency to break up with her first!" My head was having trouble trying to comprehend the stupidity of the boy in front of me.

He was the one guy that always got me riled up like this. I just wasn't sure whether that was a good thing or not.

"Why did you invite me then?" His crossed arms tensing, drawing attention to his perfectly sculpted chest.

He has a girlfriend. Stop noticing these things. He has a GIRLFRIEND, Circe, get ahold of yourself.

"Did you feel sorry for me? Or did you actually think something was going to happen between us?"

His words felt like a slap across my face.

"You dick," I breathed, "You fucking dick."

"Oh, I see. Have you caught feelings? Is Aimmée a problem? Well she isn't-"

"Don't you care? Don't you care that Aimmée has feelings, that she'll find out and feel absolute shit about it? That she'll probably drive herself mad thinking whether it was her fault that you went and kissed another girl?" Hunter said nothing, only watched me. "You really are a prick, you know that, right?"

This subject was hitting too close to home. Literally.

Hunter's eyebrows flicked up in amusement. "Got anymore insults for me today, Sexy?"

The urge to slap him was so fucking strong, my arms were practically pulsing. "Shut the fuck up."

I turned on my heel and stormed off in the direction of the boys.

"She's not my girlfriend, Sexy," he yelled from somewhere behind me.

I clenched my fists, the nails digging in. "Yeah, well, maybe you should let her know that. Preferably before she falls in love with you."

There was utter silence behind me.

He was a fuckboy. A player.

"And the next time you want to talk to me, call me by my name!" I kept walking.
