Jesse’s brunette hair swayed behind her as the cool wind rushed by. She was sitting on top of a sturdy tree branch, the golden sun beaming down upon her. She smiled broadly before sighing dreamily. It was times like this that she loved. No stress. No paperwork.

She felt free especially now that she was out of that cramped and hot office. She let her body gracefully fall backwards, hanging upside down from the branch. Her legs kept her from falling and she smiled warmly as she saw Petra and Olivia approaching her. Olivia quickly waved unable to hide her small grin.

Petra adjusted her creased bandanna, a grin of her own appearing on her face. The sun beamed down on the approaching girl’s faces, lighting up their radiant smiles even more. Jesse intentionality fell off of the branch using her two grimy hands to stop her from falling.

She quickly leaped back up unto her feet, her a goofy grin on her face. Petra shook her head rather amused and Olivia when she got close enough playfully punched Jesse’s shoulder before wrapping an arm around Jesse’s warm neck.

Petra ruffled Jesse’s umber hair, a wide grin on her face.

“Glad you could make it!” Jesse exclaimed, giving Petra a gentle nudge in the stomach.

“We wouldn’t miss it for the world Jesse,” Olivia said softly, Petra nodding in agreement.

“Yep!” Petra exclaimed, proudly putting her hands on her hips. Jesse chuckled and a harsh breeze of cool wind blew making Petra’s blue striped bandanna fall off her head.

Petra quickly grabbed it before it fell to the ground and slipped it back unto her head. Olivia put her arms at her side and softly glanced at Jesse and Petra.

“Finally...no boys!” Olivia exclaimed, with a sigh of relief.

“And NO Ivor!!” Petra practically shouted, her short fire colored hair swaying in the wind.

“It’s about time don’t cha think!” Jesse said gleefully. “For a girls night out, we waited wayyyyy to long!” Olivia exclaimed, almost ready to explode with joy.

Jesse laid in the dewy grass the others excitedly doing the same thing. The cool wind brushed against the trio’s faces each of them smiling. “Think we’ll be able to see the meteor shower from here?” Olivia asked, laying her heads in her hips as she cocked  her head to the side. Petra waved her arm, her head turning towards Olivia. “Oh please! Of course we will!”

“You kinda sound like Ivor…” Olivia said, quietly drifting off. “WHAT!” Petra bellowed. Jesse chuckled and Olivia stifled a giggle. She raised her hand in defence, “Kidding kidding!” Olivia said.

“Uh-huh,” Petra said cracking her knuckles, “I was about to say…”

Jesse amusedly shook her head, leaning forward a bit looking at the gorgeous colors blending in the sky. “Did anyone notice how breathtaking nature is?”

“Yep! Absolutely! It’s just...completely unbelievable!” Olivia exclaimed, nudging Petra’s shoulder. Petra playfully punched Olivia’s shoulder, “Yep! Totes!”

Jesse mischievously rolled her eyes, “Let’s just enjoy the sunset…,” Jesse said, glancing at Petra and then at Olivia. Petra shrugged lightly and Olivia’s silly grin widened. “What every you saw,” Petra smirked, “Mayor Jesse.”

“I told you-,” Jesse started only to be interrupted by Petra. “I’m not the mayor!”

“Ugh whatever,” Jesse said, only to be nudged tenderly in the side by Petra. Olivia gently punched Jesse’s soldier, “Now we’ll enjoy the sunset with you miss mayor!”

Jesse playfully rolled her eyes before the trio’s jolly gaze turned to the lovely golden sunset setting in front of them.

Today I made sure that the title is correct! Can I just say that I love writing these! Kinda 'free oneshots.' Feels cool to not be writing plot related stuff if that makes any sense at all. 😅 😎

Well as always see ya tommorow!!!!
