Dark Dreams

Jesse hopped over a mossy log, ducked underneath a thick tree branch and continued to sprint. Her legs were sore and her lungs burned heavily. She tripped over a fallen tree branch and tumbled down a small slope. She landed on her back with a loud thud and her ebony eyes widened when she saw the red radiant ray of light lighting up parts of the damp forest.

She quickly leaped up unto her feet again, turned on her heel and sprinted again. She glanced over her shoulder and nearly tripped into a creek.

She quickly whipped her head towards the creek and her eyes nearly popped out of her head when she saw it was her only way across. Swiftly, she waded in the water, the current not strong enough to make her lose her balance.

Her luck quickly went downhill though when the current suddenly went faster, knocking her off of her feet. Her head was submerged in the water and she held her breath, her cheeks holding all the air they could.

It wasn't long before she was suddenly floating in the air, the last bits of precious air sucked right out of her. Jesse gasped as she come face to face with furious radiant yellow and red eyes. Jesse's arms flailed as she was helplessly floating in the air.

Jesse gulped and the admin didn't look happy and with a clap of his hand, Jack appeared floating in the air, raven colored eye wide. An enchanted diamond sword appeared in the admin's gray hand and Jesse watched in horror as the admin drove the sword deep into Jack's chest.

"Jack!"

Jesse awoke in a blind panic, the light gray shackles around her feet and arms tied to a pole. Jesse's chest was rapidly heaving in and out, her heart frantically pounding against her chest. She winced as the deep scars lining her arms burning like a ravaging fire.

Her weary gaze fell to the floor as she heard her cell door creak open and close. The footsteps grew heavier as the person neared her. Jesse bowed her head slightly and the person knelled in front of Jesse.

The person chuckled darkly, "Hope you enjoyed yourself, champion."

Jesse shifted away from him slightly, feeling extremely uncomfortable. "You see Jesse your problem is that you have no fear. I promise you I'll change that real soon."

A small frown was fixed on Jesse's face her long, disheveled and knotted brunette hair covering her face. The admin harshly removed strands of her brunette hair and Jesse instantly started to squirm, but it was no use as the admin placed the palm of his cold hand on her face.

Jesse looked around and saw Petra, just standing near a bench, arm against a light-post. Jesse slowly walked over to Petra and tapped her shoulder. Petra turned around, but what shocked Jesse the most was the blood-red eyes that were staring directly into her soul. Jesse took a couple of steps back and Petra advanced her hand near the helm of her beloved golden sword. Jesse gulped, "Petra...snap out of it! It's me, Jesse!" Jesse exclaimed, her voice rising and falling. Jesse's umber eyes widened as Petra unsheathed her enchanted golden sword and swung it right at her head.

With quick thinking Jesse ducked, but unfortunately for her Petra kicked with all her might, right in the stomach and sent Jesse flying backwards and tumbling on the dense ground. Jesse groaned, but swiftly rolled out the way when she seen Petra's sword come crashing down. Right where her head was a few mere seconds ago was Petra's enchanted golden sword Miss Butter.

Before Jesse had any time to react Petra's sword impaled right into Jesse's left leg. An ear deafening scream came from Jesse and fresh blood oozed from her leg as Petra lifted her up. Petra squeezed Jesse's throat and Jesse felt tears in the corners of her eyes. "Petra....please," She said weakly as the air was squeezed out of her like a orange. "Don't....do this...."

No emotion shone in Petra's eyes as Jesse attempted to claw at Petra's extremely tight grip. Jesse's eyes widened for a moment as she heard a sickening crack.

Jesse's arms suddenly fell to her side and her squirming suddenly came to an end. Jesse went limp, her ebony eyes rolling to the back of her head. Petra carelessly threw Jesse onto the concrete, a puddle of blood forming underneath her. Petra began walking away leaving the lifeless Jesse in the streets.

Jesse shot up, gasping heavily and drenched in cold sweat. The admin grinned, finding satisfaction in her misery. Jesse met the admins fiery gaze and instantly let her gaze fall to the ground. "Hmmm Champion not liking your dark dreams I see?" The admin said with a faint chuckle.

The admin put his piercing hand underneath Jesse's chin and forced her to look up at her, "Don't worry dear cause these dreams are just about to get a whole lot darker."

Sorry if this one seems a bit rushed, cause I sorta did rush a bit here and there. Anyway I kinda feel like this would be a tacit for that admin, maybe it was a way that the admin made his previous champions fear him or something. I do want to make like a champion au book, but I have other things to work, so maybe it'll be a future idea or something! That's all I have to say and I hope my teachers don't give me a pile of homework or else I'm gonna die, literally. Anyway that's all I have for today see you tommorow!
