POV Lisa

It was cold, almost unbearably cold, as Lisa stepped into the wagon seat. She had prepared everything she needed to go into town, the horse was properly attached to the wagon--a mistake she had made one too many times--the wagon was brimming with colorful clothes and fresh wool, and she even remembered to bring crackers and some cheese, as well as a few apples for the horse to eat, as she would be there all day. She clicked a few times signaling Gypsy to start down the well worn path, making sure to keep a good pace, she could not miss rush hour, or all of her work would be for nothing.

She traveled for hours, cautiously checking behind her, and at every turn. She had heard the gruesome stories of those who were stopped by robbers or bandits, and it seemed as though there was never a good ending, even if that person survived. There hadn't been many sightings in her area, but with the cold weather they tended to migrate through Lamdon and right past Charlottesville, her home. She passed over the river separating Lamdon from Wespin, and with relief, road quickly to the market area.

Lisa was happy to see the bustling marketplace and briskly set up her booth laying out everything from hats to blankets, as well as plain wool. She was sitting on a tall stool looking out into the crowd of customers, when she noticed a Midian. It took her a moment to be sure, she had never seen one in person, but beneath its hat she could see its slightly pointed ears and sparkling hair. She let out a small gasp and watched as slowly, people began notice the intruder. She couldn't tell if the Midian knew its cover was broken, but she was sure if not, it was going to find out soon.

POV The Vin

The Vin stepped into the board room, shuffling his papers as he took a seat at the head of the table. He had been told that it was an emergency and he was needed immediately. He watched as Carter stepped into the room and gave him a sly smile, he had slick black hair in the form of an almost unnoticeable comb over--almost unnoticeable.

"I am quite glad to see you have made it safely," He said as if something had chased the Vin down the hall almost prohibiting him from coming.

"Well, I was bound to come quickly, as this meeting was described to be quite important." He said, a touch of irritance echoed in his voice, as he and Carter were the only ones in this "important" meeting so far.

They merely looked at each other a while, then at their folders. It was only when all of the seats were full, a few minutes later, that he looked up from his papers and Simone addressed the group.

"I have called this meeting," ah, so this was her doing. The Vin thought irritated as she continued.

"I have called this meeting to inform you of the Blackgra's movement towards our eastern border.

The Vin massaged his neck as this new information was added to the weight of the stress on his shoulders. He had known they were no longer his allies, but this could easily be seen as an act of treason towards him, he decided to wait to retaliate. He wasn't going to make the first move, their army was weaker, there had to be a bigger strategy in place.

POV Candala

Candala made her way through the busy square, she was there strictly to look and spot the easiest place to perform the assassination. She had been there scouting and thought she had successfully spotted the right area, when a huge earthquake decimated the market a few weeks prior and the vendors had to rebuild, forcing her reassess the best spot.

She only had one chance at this, if caught she would be swiftly executed and he would most likely survive. She refused to be useless, another Mid lost to the battle that was coming, she was going to be useful beyond what anyone could imagine. She would be the reason they would win. Or so she hoped.

It was fairly warm for winter and she had on only a hat and jacket, she made her way through the square, narrowing her eyes at the nosy vendors, trying so desperately to get her attention. She saw a booth near the middle, but off to the side a bit, it had clothes and wool and seemed to be a great spot to be unnoticed. She figured the buns shops on either side would draw the crowd away from it and it seemed to hold only one small person selling these items, this will do nicely. She thought looking at the small briskly constructed structure.

It happened quite suddenly, the girl behind the counter gave her an odd look, hardly trying to beckon her over, then others began to quiet down gazing at her. She moved swiftly, hurrying off, her job was done, it was time to go home. She headed down the worn road and past a small bridge, further into the underbrush, heading east.
