You were full of life
You scooped me up and said to reach up
Up to the sky
We danced in the rain
And checked for monsters under our beds
You didn't seem to age
One day, you went on an adventure
Without me
I searched high and low
And when I found you
I wished I hadn't
But you waved me to come close
And when I put my ear to your lips
You said with a few tears
That you won't see me again
And I won't see you
That you had to go on this adventure alone
That one day I'll take it too
"I love you,"
