All the laughs we shared
And the whispers in the dark
The moon lit sky
And the thunderstorms
Our pain
Was behind us
Because we had each other
To numb the wounds
We thought
Together
We could stitch them closed
That if we ignored
The scabs and scars
That we could pretend
That the only thing the mattered
Was us
With you
Time didn't exist
There was no pain or war
Suffering was some far off nightmare
Feeling
Your skin
On mine
Was the only thing I longed for
As time wore on
The world lost it's colour
Everything
That once filled me with joy
Sadly
Everything
Fell apart
Including you
Some of it was lost
Others turned to ash
Burnt in the fires of my fury
The rest
Became
Nothing
