Chapter 2. Tris P.O.V

THE NEXT DAY, I have school. Gross. But on the bright side I might get to see Tobias. I change into my usual grey clothes. I walk down the stairs and see everyone eating at the table. Perfect. I quietly sneak into my parents room and move the slide that hides my reflection. I take a look at myself to make sure I will look alright, I'm not going for pretty because I cant, Im going for noticeable - and I succeed. I quickly slide the panel back over the mirror and rush downstairs to eat Breakfast.

When I get to school I imediatley find Tobias.

"Hey!" I say, coming from behind him. He smiles.

"Hey! Lets start walking to the assembly." I follow him.

When we get inside the auditorium I'm amazed by all of the students gatthered in the same place. But the thing I'm worried about is that Tobias is dragging us through a big crowd of dauntless. Grey and black is not a good mix.

"Hey guys look!" A kid in black points to me. "Its another ugly stiff." He says, smirking. I look away and keep walking. While I hear another kid say,

"That's what's Up."

Everyone starts laughing and I see Tobias roll his eyes. We finally make it to the abnegation seats and we take our chairs by Susan and Robert. They nod at us and I smile back. That's when Jeanine Mathews walks on stage.

"Goodmorning. I bet you are all wondering why your here today." she says, "Well obviously." Tobias mutters. I hide my smirk.

"Well I'm here to tell you why. I know you are all still shooken up about the choosing ceremony being no more. But it was for the best. We had tranfers transferring just to rebel. And well we don't need that. So we have developed a new test that will decide if you fit in your home faction, if you don't fit then well you'll be factionless." I take a deep breath, factionless? I already know I don't fit in Abnegation. I have to pass that test.

"The test will take place at lunch Tomorrow. The factions will take the test in alphebetical order so the Abnegation will be first, then Amity, Candor, Dauntless, and lastly Erudite. If you have any questions I will be in the office till lunch time. You are now dismissed."

All at once everyone starts heading to the main hallway to get to class. Im so nervous. The test is today. No preperation, no idea what the test will be. Nothing.

After school I call my mom and tell her I will be helping clean he school. But I'm really not, me and Tobias are sneaking out to one of the old houses in the factionless sector. I have no idea what we will be doing but all I know is I feel something forwards Tobias today, I feel like I need him. Badly.

He takes my hand and we run to the house that we have set up for us. We have snuck extra food, clothes, bedding, and a few decorations. I don't know how we did it but it looks pretty good.

We walk through the door and Tobias immediately goes into the kitchen to eat.

"Your so fat." I laugh.

"Hey! I'm considered flimsy compared to the dauntless. I am not fat." He says, shoving an apple in his mouth. I grin and take a seat on the couch.
