Bewildered

1 Week Before

I had watched a couple of Lifetime movies were a young girl gets kidnapped and ends up living her whole life with her captors. In some other movies, after living in a complete nightmare, the girls families continue searching for them. Some lucky ones get rescued and reunited back with their loved ones.
I also, have glanced at some missing children posters at our local grocery store. I've always wonder how hard can it be to identify someone that has been missing for years?

In a million years, would I had guessed what surprises life had for me...

    My family isn't rich. My parents are from what you can consider "the working poor" . We lived comfortably, but not in luxury. I felt so lucky to have such loving and caring parents, and my sister Sophie...is my best friend.
What else could I ask for?

"Come on Mia! hang up the stupid phone!! you haven't even begun packing for our family trip!" My sister Sophie says in a panicky tone, while I roll my eyes at her. "Oh... and please don't forget to pack your swimsuit. I'm not letting you borrow any of mine."

Oh my God my sister Sophie! I love her, I really do, but she always has to interrupt my phone calls with my crush Josh.

"Ugh... Sorry Josh! I have to go. I have to finish packing tonight, our flight leaves at  six am."
It's always hard saying good bye to him.

  I had a crushing on Josh since the beginning of our freshmen year in high school. He finally noticed me a couple of days ago, when I asked him if he could sign my Senior yearbook.

He's the guy every girl in our school has a crush on... his green eyes have an intense look. His smile is sweet and sincere, and I can't get enough of it. When he talks, his voice is so magnetic. I can actually compare it to a siren call. Can I guy do that?

After that lucky day I'd decided to talk to him, things have been so awesome between us. I can seriously see us spending the rest of our summer break together.

The only problem is I know we will be separating once we go off to college, so my priority is to once I get back to the states from our family vacation, I'll start dating him.

As I started to open my eyes there's loud knocking on my bedroom door followed by my mothers screams.
"Mia! Hurry the airplane isn't going to be waiting for us!" Oh my God I forgot to set my alarm, and I woke up late. For a moment I felt like Kevin from Home Alone. Thank goodness my family didn't leave me behind.

Usually, we went somewhere as a family every year durning summer. This year, we'll be our first time going out of the country. So I understand we are all feeling a little anxious to see how our trip adventure goes.

"Coming mom!" I yelled back.

I fell asleep last night after calling Josh back, we spent the whole night talking on the phone way past midnight. I'm so looking forward to coming back from my vacations and enjoying the rest of my summer brake just hanging out with him.

"Hurry, hurry" I repeat to myself remembering my family is still waiting for me downstairs, I quickly got up and begin getting dressed in shorts and a tank top, flip flops. I decided to to put my long blonde hair in a messy bun. I'm not used to wearing any make up, since I really don't need it. Not to brag but as of now, I have perfect skin, with just a little lip gloss and I feel okay to go out anywhere. After just a couple of minutes, I'm all set! Mexico here I come!
