"Nana I think I want some fruit.
With lime and chili"

It was lunch time at the mansion. Usually some of the workers that weren't married or didn't have anyone to cook for them, would come to the kitchen, and Samuels "Nana" who was the cook here at the house would feed them all.

"Mari, help me cut some fruit for her" She order it.

Just thinking of the fruit made me feel nauseous. Yuck!

"No! Wait... I have a better idea! a raspado, you know like the one they had at the Christmas Eve party!" I said excitedly, then everything went quiet. I forgot it was supposed to be top secret, that I had attended their party.

While I was concentrating on my cravings I started to smell cinnamon and spice... what a calming smell... Sitting next to me was Samuel.

" Francisco, go get some raspados" I turned to stare at him.

"Did Marcus gave you the results yet?" He smiled.

"I'm going to die? That's why you're smiling. You're finally getting read of me! Ho– how... long do I have?"

Everyone was quiet. And that was awkwardly weird. I usually came in here during the workers lunch time, because they would always tell stories, and laugh. They all made me feel a part of them, and of their family.

Samuel stands up. "let's go talk. Somewhere else"

As I was just following him upstairs and into his room. "Why inside your room?"

As we enter, Mari was there and some of the other ladies that helped around the house."Things are going to change. You will move into this room."

I finally notice what they were doing. They were arranging the room, the closet, and bringing in my belongings.

"What! why would we do that? You can't stand me, and at this point the feelings are mutual" as soon as I said the those words, I wanted to take them back. Especially after I saw how he started to get annoyed. Oh my beast!

"Marcus and I did discuss your results. You're pregnant" He says, and I... I couldn't think.

"But.. how? Oh my God! That thunderstorm night at the beach!" I say with shock looking at him.

He just stared at me. "Probably."

"Oh God! How did I forget birth control!?" I continued to speak... mostly to myself and covered my face with both my hands. A million thoughts crossed my mind all at once. As I took a few minutes to think, he started pacing.

"I'm not having an abortion! And that's final!" I screamed at him. Which made him stop with his crazy pacing he always did this, especially when he was nervous.

"Of course you're not having an abortion! This is our baby, and as much as the both of us were not planning on this... we'll be ok. We'll make things work" he ran his fingers through his all ready messed up hair,

How could we be ok? When he's in love with Rosie.

"We could always work something else out, you know? We don't have to be together in a relationship to have a baby."

"I want us to be together. I want a relationship with you. I... I love you Mia. And it's ok if you don't. But, we are going to be a family." He walks towards me.

l couldn't believe he just said he loves me? Is this is really happening?

He walks towards me and hugs me and breaths me in. " I'm sorry for hurting you, and for all the bullshit I put you through,"

This was all too much for one day. However I had no doubt of what I felt for him. I had to give us a chance and now I had to not only think about me but of the new life growing inside of me.

"It's okay, I'm sorry too." I hold his face with both my palms. " I love you too, I don't want to know, who I was before you. Because now, I feel complete."

As I took in this moment, I knew for sure that it was the beginning of my new life. The start of my forever after with a great guy that in a short period of time had completely change things for me.

As the months past by, I felt to scared to search for my family any longer, besides I felt as this is the place where I belong now. My past doesn't matter anymore. I hope that if my family was still searching for me, they could find some kind of peace. I prayed every night for them to let go as I had as soon as I found out I was going to become a mother.
