"Oy, (Y/N), when yer done sweep'n, d'ya mind shutt'n down the till?" My cousin called from the back room of his small shop.

"Sure thing, Donny." I replied, sweeping the dirt into a small pile. But just as I was about to sweep into the dustbin, a tap tap tap came from the window. I turned around to find an owl at the widow. I quickly went over to the widow and opened it. A small tawny owl hopped in and perched on my shoulder. Offering it a cracker, I pulled the note tied to it's leg. Opening it, I read,

(Y/N),

I thought you should know Professor Snape was found dead last week. I'm don't know how far you were mixed up with him, nor do I think it is safe for you to come back to the Tree Broomsticks. I'm sorry it had to end this way.

love,

Aunt Rosmerta

A cold feeling came over me and I felt a strangled cry escape my throat. At the sound, Donny came into the front of the shop to find me kneeling on the floor, clutching the note. My cousin wrapped me in a hug with one arm, while taking the note from my shaking hands with the other.

"I'm so sorry, (Y/N)," He said, "That was the man you told me about, wasn't it? The professor from Hogwarts?"

I nodded, wiping at my eyes, "Y-yes. I never even got to tell him that I loved him." Admitting that made me dissolve into a fresh wave of tears.

"What will you do now?" Donny asked, peering at me. I sniffled, thinking for a moment before my sorrow gave way to rage.

"I'm going to kill every last Death Eater I can get my hands on." I hissed through my tears, "I'm going to kill them if it's the last thing I do."
