Teagan's POV:

"You look gorgeous tonight," Calum whispers in my ear, his breathes tickling my sensitive skin. Toned arms placed on either side of my head make me want to shrink inside of myself and yet feel their touch around my waist.

I didn't even dress up, so I don't have a clue what he is talking about. I'm just wearing a pair of shorts and another one of my band shirts, nothing fancy.

"He's drunk," I think to myself sadly, pushing down the giddy feeling in my stomach.

"Ah, you still haven't apologized for this morning," I scowl, crossing my arms firmly.

"Okay fine, you know what? I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm a jerk, I'm sorry I'm a mess, I'm sorry I keep so many secrets I -"

"Hey hey, woah it's fine Calum, calm down," I interrupt, placing my hands on his chest and pushing him back gently but firmly.

His expression goes from sad, to confused, to relieved in a matter of seconds, changing like the ocean tides.

"Hi I'm Calum," he suddenly breaks the tense atmosphere, grinning giddily as the smell of alcohol hits my face. "And you're Teagan," he slurs, cheekily poking his index finger in between my chest.

"And you're drunk Calum," I laugh, attempting to forget the way he had approached me. I was a bit sad actually. Sad he hadn't done something crazy, or maybe a bit stupid like kiss me or some sappy shit like that.

"What no, that'd never happen," I mutter to myself, slipping around Calum to go find the other boys.

"Wait, uh Teagan!" Calum calls for me, grasping me firmly by the shoulder to spin me around.

"Uh yeah Calum?"

"Can I - uh can I get you a drink?" He asks sheepishly, seeming suddenly sober. "You look like you need to get a little hammered."

I blush at his forward comment, allowing him to take my small hand with his larger one and pull me to the bar, his other arm wrapped lazily around my waist. I honestly didn't have much experience with clubbing, and we'd barely managed to sneak in without being noticed. I mean sure I'd had the odd beer and my fair share of kisses, but I'd never gotten completely wasted or had a one night stand, and it was all a little fresh to me. But here I was, so why not live a little?

"A round of shots for this table please!" Calum shouts loudly, gesturing to Luke, Michael, and their anonymous dates snogging in the booth.

"This is disgusting," I think, shaking my head in disbelief. My mind back peddles from the: "let's live a little" thought, to: "people do all this, for fun. All for what? A hangover? A one night stand?"

"Y'know what? No," I pull my hand from Calum's firm grasp, shaking my throbbing wrist out. "I'm going to the bus. Where can I find Ashton?"

"Why do you wanna find him?" Calum growls darkly, drawing himself up to his full height.

"I - I- just need the keys. For the bus?" I stutter nervously, taken aback by his rudeness.

"Lemme go with you? Please?" He pleads, the darkness leaving his eyes, his hands clasping and unclasping desperately. His mood changes so quickly I can barely keep up.

"And here are your shots," the barista interrupts us, setting the tray of small glasses on the table, diverting Calum's attention from our conversation.
