Calum's POV:
The final credits of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World crawl across the screen as I lazily open my eyes and realize we all passed out in front of the tv.
Ashton and Michael are sprawled across each other on the floor, looking for all the world like homeless puppies. I realize there's a Teagan shaped hole in my side where she'd been leaning against me and I twist around to find her sprawled across Luke's chest, his arms wrapped firmly around her back. Her small hands are curled tightly around his shirt, squeezing almost as tightly as my heart is inside my chest.
I resist the urge to murder everyone on this goddamn bus and stand up and stretch. Stepping gingerly over the pile of boys on the floor, I make my way to the back of the bus and flop on to my bed. I fight the urge to puke and instead I fumble around under my mattress until my hands grasp my little leather journal. I flip the light switch on my travel lamp on and pop in my headphones as the soothing sounds of Walk The Moon fill my ears.
And then I write.
I write song lyrics and small quotes that come to mind until the page is full and then I start on the next one.
I'd have written all night to push away these feelings of jealousy if it hadn't been for a tiny knock on my bunk frame.
"Hold on," I whisper, trying my best to sound nonchalant as I stuff my journal between the mattress and bed frame. I slide down so it looks like I've been resting and push back the curtain to see a disoriented Teagan sleepily rubbing her eyes. A random throw blanket is tucked in to one of her fists, while her other one scrubs at her eyes - looking for all the world like a very tired five year old.
"Hi," she yawns, a sleepy grin playing across her face.
"Hi."
"What are you doing?"
"Just listening to music. What about you?"
"Standing in front of some dude's bunk waiting for him to offer me a spot," she mumbles cheekily, poking at my mattress. "I had nightmares about that chainsaw guy," she admits shyly, fiddling with the corner of her blanket.
"Well would you like to join me?" I ask, sliding over so that there's a large space for her to lie down.
"Does this bed offer cuddles?" She asks, tapping her chin and looking down at me with a sly grin. I swear to god this girl is going to be the death of me.
"Only on the weekends," I deadpan.
"Silly goose, it is the weekend," she giggles, sliding in next to me but leaving a large amount of mattress between us. I want to close the gap so badly it hurts, but I can't bring my sweaty hands to move from clutching the sheets beneath me.
"Well I just called my cuddle provider and they're just fresh out," I ramble, turning over so my back's pressed against the wooden wall and I'm facing Teagan. Her freckles stand out after our long day in the sun, making her nose look even more petite and kissable than it already is.
"Shut up Calum, this isn't okay," my mind screams.
"Well I called my cuddle provider," Teagan answers, flipping over to face me. Her faces is inches from mine. "So close I could kiss her," I think.
"And my cuddle supply is full. So I mean, I could share some."
"I think I might like that," I bite my lip and wriggle closer to her by a fraction of an inch. Our breaths mingle in the space between us, making the air jump with energy.
