Chapter 7

The air was still and silent with tension.

Rose stepped away from Jack and turned to look at her husband with disbelief in her eyes. John had a scared look in his eyes. He turned to Jack and walked over. The group looked at him enquiringly, suggesting he explain his statement.

He looked at them. He cleared his throat and began to speak.

“Well, you see. I knew who he was because of our link. We are each other. Its like the bond other time lords feel towards each other, they can sense it. He has recently. It gets to you like your so happy that you have found someone else, ecstatic even. You like the happiest person in the world, the universe, all the universes.” He paused and turned to the stranger as it dawned on the rest of the group who the strange man was.

He spoke again. “But you shouldn’t be here. You’ve now ripped a hole in space and time and the void and all the nasty’s we trapped in there are goanna come flooding back out along with reinforcement and other friends and world war three is goanna happen all over again. This has only ever happened 3 times making this the 4th and each time there has been chaos.” He took a deep breath and carried on. “First time cyber men, closed the breach thought we’d never see each other again. Second time Rose, in effect died and you and me where trapped on the opposite part of the void from her. Third time the daleks retuned and stole planets, I was created and Donna died. Is this just a repeat?” John Smith finished. He looked around at everyone and smiled. Rose looked shocked. She spoke, stuttering to get her words out.

“You mean…it’s the Doctor, the 900 year old Doctor?”

John nodded and Rose stood still in shock.

The air was still and the whole world seemed to stop. The plants and animals stopped. You could hear a pin drop. Everyone turned towards Jack and Rose, who still stood there with him speechless.

Her mouth opened in shock. She screamed.

“AHHHHHHHH” She screamed, “OH MY GOOOOOOOODDDDD, YOUR BACK YOUR BACK YOUR BACK YOUR BACK YOUR BACK…..AHHHHHHHHHHHH”

The man stepped out from the shadows and they ran towards each other. Jack ran as well. They met with a big bear hug from all three and had a big reunion.

Rose was crying, Jack was crying and so was the Doctor.

Rose felt so happy. Back with her boys. The Doctor had changed though, again. She hugged him tight and spoke to him in a happy sob.

“I thought I was never going to see you again!” She chocked out. The doctor sighed.

“and Rose Tyler, I mean Smith, well ditto.” And they hugged again.

She stepped back to examine him. She smiled. “You’ve changed so much. Your hair is kind of blonde and you wear a bow tie, I mean bow ties are cool!” She said with a sceptical look from the Doctor.

He turned to Amy and Rory.

“Told you so.”

Meanwhile all this had been happening the rest of the group had been standing around wondering what was going on. Amy nudged Rory. He turned to her.

“Remind me who she again” She said. He shrugged.

“Never heard the Doctor mention her before-” He paused, “No, wait, he has.”

Her eyebrows went up in surprise. “Oh…When was that then?”

He smirked, “Don’t you remember?” She shook her head. “Well, when you asked the TARDIS about all the companions he has had and he…fell…into your trap and confirmed it, it showed all the previous companions and Rose came up and the Doctor went all silent and turned it off. All he would give was her name.

Amy and Rory looked up when the Doctor turned around.

“Told you so” He said.

They looked at each other and laughed, walking over to him, arm in arm.

Meanwhile all this was going on the Torchwood team stood round the edge.

They looked at each other. Gwen Cooper caught Owen eye and smirked. He nudged her and she turned round.

“Do you think Jack’s found his Doctor yet?” Owen said in a oh-so-casual way. Offhand like he was trying not to laugh. Gwen Snorted and Ianto shot them both a disapproving look. He opened his mouth to speak.

“Don’t he’s just happy that the Doctor is back, I mean he would never go off and just…and just…..” He trailed off.

Owen smirked and said, “Sorry Ianto, Jacks found his man, seems like you didn’t live up to the job.” Gwen elbowed him as Ianto looked like he was going to cry. She Crushed her heel down on Owen’s foot. He looked at her with surprise in his gaze.

“Shut up” whispered Gwen, looking over to Ianto. “Look how upset he is” Owen Raised one eyebrow.

It was common knowledge that Jack and Ianto had a *cough cough* Thing…. With each other and well Gwen felt a bit for Ianto because he well lets not go into it.

They all looked up as the Doctor turned to the ginger girl and the dopey looking man. He spoke to them and they laughed and walked over. The Torchwood team took that as a sign and started to make their way over too.
