{ Don't worry, I haven't given up on this story. Just trying to make it a bit longer than I intended it to be. These next two chapters might be fairly short though, dealing with a lot of stress right now. }
Clementine woke up, feeling the warmth of Violet around her. She was still in a hell of a lot of pain from the encounter her and Minerva had last night. Clementine had never let herself get that angry before. Somehow, Minerva knew how to push all of her buttons. 'Why is she so obsessed with Vi? She left her right, so what the fuck? God, my cheek hurts. Ugh.' Clementine's mind was running wild. Even the thought of Violet's ex-lover lit a fire in her.
"Ow, damn babe, what the hell??" Clementine heard Violet whine as she realized that she was practically about to break Violet's hand from squeezing it so hard.
Clementine sat up, feeling every bruise sting as she did so. "Sorry, I just got mad..." Clementine looked around and the others in the room were still passed out. It was super early in the morning, but Clementine was having trouble sleeping.
Violet was disappointed that Clementine was now sat up, which meant no more cuddles. "Why did you get mad? What's up?" Violet was concerned, even though she thinks she knows what was on Clementine's mind. "Here, come on." Violet knew it was about Minerva, and decided it would be best just to have a private conversation. She stood up, motioning for Clementine to follow her.
They made their way out of the basement, and then upstairs to Violet's room. "God, so many damn stairs..." Clementine breathed out, gripping her side. She made herself at home and sat on Violet's bed.
The blonde took a seat next to her and shifted her gaze to Clementine. "Alright, spill. What's going on? Is it about Minnie?"
Clementine's brows furrowed. "Of fucking course it is, Violet! Who else would it be??" Clementine crossed her arms and pouted.
Violet sighed, not really a fan of the way Clementine was acting right now. "Alright, how about instead of you flipping your shit and taking it out on me, let's just talk." Violet pulled her legs up on the bed and grabbed Clementine's hand.
Clementine didn't mean to slightly yell at Violet, but she couldn't help herself. "The shit she said about you, I got so crazy. You missed the majority of it, but I think she still likes you..." Clementine sighed, looking down at the bed. "You two were close. Yeah, she hurt you but that doesn't mean everything was bad in that relationship. If it was, there wouldn't have been a relationship to begin with."
Violet was just listening, this all being news to her. Clementine was right, there was love between her and Minerva at one point and time. "What are you saying?" Violet questioned, worry coating her tone.
"I'm saying that Minerva wants you back. I can tell she does, it's obvious." Clementine scoffed some, glancing at her hand, which Violet was still holding. Clementine stood up, walking forward a bit. "How do I know if I'm as good as she was? You were hurt by her leaving. How do I know that it would be the same if I just disappeared one day?" Clementine hated that she was feeling this way, but as much as she hates to admit it, Minerva definitely got into her head.
Violet was honestly hurt that Clementine was talking like that. "Clem, what are you talking about? You mean the world to me, so cut the shit." Violet stood up, grabbing her shoulder. "If anything bad happened to you because of me I would be devasted." Violet turned her girlfriend towards her. "I feel like shit for letting you two fight in the first place, and now you're saying that I would just leave you and go back to her like a fucking lost dog, just because of the possibility of her liking me again!?" She placed her hand on Clementine's cheek, the one that wasn't busted open of course. "I said it at Prom, and I'll say it again. I love you." Violet's tone was serious as she pointed towards Clementine's chest.
Clementine felt a weight lift off of her. She just needed to hear it from Violet. "Thank you, and I'm sorry for acting this way. She's just very persuasive." Clementine explained, earning a chuckle from Violet.
"Trust me. I know." Violet agreed before laying back on her bed. It was way better than the couch those two usually slept on when the group stayed over. "Now, can we please go back to sleep, it's like six in the morning." The blonde practically begged, holding her arms out to Clementine.
Clementine smiled and complied to Violet's wishes. She snuggled up into her neck, taking in her scent. "Violet, it's actually almost eight, sooo..."
Violet just shook her head, "Nah, pretty sure it's six." Louis was usually the dramatic one out of all of them, but that doesn't mean Violet doesn't do it a little too. Maybe living with Louis was rubbing off on her. The world may never know.
{ Can I get a single clap for a hella short chapter? Kidding, sorry for the length. Next chapter is the one most of you dirty sinners will be waiting for ;) (Same tho, honestly.) I wish my internet would also quit fucking up, that would be ideal. }
