Chapter VII: Prom-Posal

{ I'm gonna make a couple changes from the game, having Sophie still kind of talk to the group when Minnie isn't around. I mean in the game she was the one who didn't want to be with the raiders whatsoever, so I guess it kind of fits. Violet doesn't have anything against Sophie as well as Tenn, and Clem and her get along despite the situation. Also, the group isn't really 'not popular' they are liked my quite a bit of people, they just all bond over being broken in some way.}

Louis and Violet were chilling in his living room, going over the biggest school dance of the year. Prom. Violet was never much of a party person, but she usually wne to almost ever school dance with the group. Half of the ones they usually had got called off, because of budget issues. However, Violet was slightly excited for Prom, finally having a single person to go with instead of just going with the group. Minerva and her weren't together long enough to actually go as a couple last year.

Louis tapped his chin some, "Violet prom coming super fast. Well you obviously need to 'prom-pose' to Clem. We are seniors and its the biggest dance, so don't chicken out." He teased some, receiving an eye roll from Violet.

Violet had already thought about that, but didn't really have any ideas. "Okay, match maker, help me out, then. You know I suck at coming up with shit like this." She sighed as the boy next to her nodded in agreement.

The two had decided to kind of prank Clementine in a way. They decided to make a poster that reads, "Dont make me go solo, Prom?" Which they would place on Clementine's door step. Then they would surround her doorstep with a bunch of half-filled red solo cups. However, they left a walkway so that Clementine could actually get to Violet. It added a little bit of Louis and Violet in there. Louis being the punny one, and Violet being the pranker.

The two contructed this, still laughing over the idea. Louis made a plan to say that the two of them wanted to hang out with her and that they would honk when they were at her house. She was down which put the plan into effect.

They set up everything and Louis gave Violet a hug. "My lil baby is all grown up." He laughed at Violet groaning at him. "What if she says no?" Violet questioned, pulling back. He gave an 'are you fucking serious' face over that comment. "Violet, you two have been dating for almost three months, there is no way, you got this." He reasurred her before getting back into his car. He tossed Violet a small bouquet which had orange and purple flowers, another one of his puns on their names. He saw Violet give a nod before he beeped his horn repeatedly.

Clementine heard the que that her friends were outside and stood up off of the couch. "Alrighty, I'm off. I'll be back later." She said to her two parents before giving AJ a kiss on his forehead. They all said bye to her as she put on her hat before opening the door. Violet gave a small smile at her as she put together what was happening. Clementine had honestly forgotten about prom. She went to one with her ex, Gabe, at her old school. Clementine gasped, which caused her family to become super confused. She half-assed parkoured her way to tackle Violet with a hug.

Violet somehow managed to keep her balance, and chuckled some, not being able to hide her grin as Louis walked over. "I take that as a yes." She cocked an eyebrow, looking down at the girl embracing her.

Clementine pulled away and nodded, before pulling Violet into a kiss. However, she turned around when she heard Lee clear his throat. "Oh, uh." Clementine stuttered because she almost forgot that her family didn't know. AJ, Carley, and Lee were all smiling over what just went down. "Sorry, that I didn't tell you. We were just nervous." She didn't really know how her family would react over the news of her and Violet being together.

Carley stepped towards the two, with a disappointed expression which caused nervousness to engulf the two as they stepped away from each other. "I cant believe..." She looked between the two before a huge grin appeared on her face. "...that you didn't tell us sooner! Ah, I'm so excited!!" She said, pulling the two girls into a hug.

Clementine and Violet let out a sigh of relief as Lee and AJ also walked over, hugging them. Louis was off to the side, taking a shit ton of pictures. "Woo!" He said, victoriously as all of them broke away from the group hug. "Prom is going to be amazing." He said with a smile before looking down at the cups. "Yeah, we will clean all this up."

Lee shook his head, "Nah, you guys have to plan for this big day. We got it. Oh, and by the way, I want those pictures!" He smiled before the family went back into the house.

Clementine turned towards Violet. "You guys are sneaky, but hey, they found out and took it pretty well." She nudged Violet before rushing to Louis, giving him a hug as well. They talked a bit before driving back to Louis and Violet's house. They had to do a lot of planning, and they didn't have a whole lot of time.

Most of them had their colors and groups picked out. Louis, Omar, and Mitch were going together as the three musketeers who weren't dating anyone yet. Violet and Clem were couple number one. Marlon and Brody were couple number two. Which left Ruby and Aasim going together, but Aasim actually got the guts to ask her.

Omar, Louis, and Mitch all had decided to wear white tuxes, wanting to stand out. Marlon and Brody had a theme of gold and black. Aasim and Ruby chose to have the common red and black color scheme. As they talked it out, Vi and Clem decided to go with a burgundy color.

"Alright! It's all set. We will meet up here, splitting the couples apart to get dressed before the big reveal when the time comes. Keep in mind, you will be on video because this will be a night that we will never forget!"
