the doctor soon left after checking jin's blood pressure. he said that luckily he hadn't been hit hard, that he'd been very lucky not to break his bones, and that he could be discharged tomorrow.
after he left, jin looked at chaewon.
"what i meant to say was, i don't know why i care so much about you. it's annoying. maybe i like you."
chaewon laughed. "sure." she was turning red, but she tried to keep her cool.
at that point, she knew she'd fallen for him. there was no turning back.
jin hesitated. "no, i don't," he said. "what's gotten into me?"
"i love you, chaewon, and i don't want you to get hurt. ever. don't leave me."
chaewon said, "yeah, i love myself too."
jin opened his eyes, then shut them. "then why do you self-harm?"
"i don't know," was the reply.
"stop it. i'm coming to your house tomorrow. i'm making you food."
"my parents will beat me if they know i know a boy," said chaewon.
"also, my sister might not like you, and even though mum's out she's still here, and she tells everything to my mum."
"you'll just have to sneak me in then," he said.
