They say that the ones who love us never really leave us, but Jyneari wasn't sure how she would be able to handle being without Cassiopeia. She was her closest ever friend, and she loved her. It did sound rather like a break up in Jyneari's head, but it was like losing a part of her. She was aware that while Cassie was at school, she had normally been home, but this was the next seven years of her life where she had hoped that they would spend it together, but they couldn't.

Only a week later than Cassiopeia had told Jyneari of her news, she was due to leave from King's Cross station to journey to Hogwarts. She was meeting Severus at the station and was supposed to be meeting his 'girlie friend' as Cassiopeia had put it. Lily, according to Severus, was a nice person and a great friend, so Jyneari was definitely excited to meet her.

Whilst Jyneari was repacking her trunk, after her mother had emptied it to check everything was there and put an extension charm on it, an owl flew through the open window and perched itself on her shoulder. Reading the envelope, Jyneari identified Severus' handwriting immediately and opened it in a rush.

Jyni,
Train leaves at 11 remember, don't be late! I know what you're like with your packing, and your mother. Meet me at 10 to 11 so we can get an empty compartment with Lily.
See you there,
Sev

It read, making Jyneari roll her eyes as she was not always late and when she was, it was always her mother's fault.

She sent back a letter with her brand new golden eagle quill.

Dear Sev,
I am not usually late, it is Mother who is late as she provides the transport thus none of it is my fault.
Sounds good, I can't wait to meet Lily.
See you soon,
Jyni

Jyneari sent the owl of with its new letter just as Syndelle walked into the room, announcing their departure.

"Quickly, Jyneari, you still need to get through the barrier! A young lady is always punctual!" The woman nagged, grabbing Jyneari's wrist and rushing downstairs to say goodbye to Saravis.

"Goodbye, Father!" Jyneari hugged the man who hugged her tight in return. Sensing her mother's impatience, she quickly let go.

"See you at Christmas!"

"Yes, dear," he smiled gently as the women disapparated out of the room and appeared in an alley outside King's Cross train station. Jyneari looked up at her mother only to see the scowl on her lips as she past all the muggles.

"Filthy bloody muggles!" Syndelle muttered under her breath, dragging Jyneari to continue keep walking and look forward. "Come Jyneari, a young lady walks with her head held high and takes no notice of those beneath her!"

When they reached the wall between platforms nine and ten, Jyneari looked back up at Syndelle, who pushed a very forced smile on her face, nodded and held her daughter's hand to run through the barrier.

"Go on," she encouraged as Jyneari hesitated. Finally getting her nerve, she ran at the wall, bracing herself for the impact. However, instead of crashing, the girl ran through the wall like a ghost and ended up on the other side. She gasped as she saw the Hogwarts Express gleaming majestically in the sun.

Waiting for her mother, Jyneari spotted Severus in between crowds and dragged Syndelle over that way.

"Oh Severus! You're not here alone are you, dear?" Syndelle asked.

"You know what my mother is like, Mrs. Serpaie. It was easier just to get a muggle taxi to the station," he smiled reassuringly, only to witness the older woman to grimace and worry even more.
