3rd POV

Y/n lied in front of her living room TV, scrolling through Netflix. Nothing seemed interesting enough to watch.

Maybe it could be because she's been online for at least half of the day?

Or maybe because it was 1 in the morning and her mind and body is sleep deprived?

How is still even awaking?

'What now?' Y/n asks herself.

For all she knows, she could have been in her bed by now and actually trying to sleep so she isn't so dead the upcoming morning.

The girl lets out a sigh as she turns off the TV, no longer wanting the extra light in her face and reaches for her phone.

Tuesday, November 3rd

'Is it really Tuesday? Where did the weekend go?' Y/n thought as she unlocks her phone and decides to check some social media posts.

She makes it to Instagram and sees something posted 5 minutes ago.

There was a picture of the gang back in high school. Way back in the past from now.

j_kirschtein Wow dude, can't believe you're 18 now. Guess you're one of us now

Clicking on the photo, a person was tagged in it.

arminarlert03

'Oh right, his birthday's today.'

Y/n clicks on the username and notices the lack of photos it contained. From 15 to only 3.

'Of course he deleted all the ones that had me in them.'

The most recent photo on his Instagram was a selfie of him and a blond girl at what appeared to be a cat cafe.

The girl happened to be his new girlfriend, Annie is her name.

Y/n can't seem to understand how they got together in the first place. Annie is very different from Armin. She's was one of the school's most athletic girl next to Mikasa. But she wasn't very social, even with her fame. She's has been overall quiet and "alone," and did I mentioned cold? Y/n attempted to speak with her once and she just gave me a look. Definitely not a nice look.

I'll never understand her.

I'll never understand how they got together.

I'll never understand what he sees in her.

Y/n didn't realize the warmth spreading across her face until she rested it on her arm. Her cheeks were damp and warm, she notice her vision was slightly blurred too.

Still not over it, huh? Y/n thought before facing her phone downwards on the couch.

This is pathetic.

The tears didn't seem likely to stop.

You are pathetic.

She sniffed as her eye lids felt heavy.

I don't think it would be such a crime to skip classes today, right?

Her phone vibrated along with emitting a 'ding.' But it was ignored as she shut her eyes completely.

Health comes first, I guess. It'll just be a one time thing.

She mentally yawned before deciding to at least move herself to her bedroom. She takes her phone before walking through her hallway.

She enters her bathroom to clear her face of the snot and the tears that still remain on her face. She wonders how bad she will look tomorrow if she were to continue her classes. She wondered if any of her professors would question her.

She blew her nose once more before heading over to her room and falls face first towards the soft surface of her bed.

She looks back at the time from her phone. 2:11.

She places her phone down next to her.

Happy birthday, Arlert. I hope you're happy with her.

The tears no longer came out, but the pain still remained within her chest. She had sincerely hoped for it to disappear the next time she wakes up.

With that in mind, she fell into a deep slumber.
