3rd POV

She had never thought about love. She never thought that she would be in love.

She didn't think she would fall in love with Armin Arlert. The sweet, caring, and intelligent, boy with his unique golden hair up to his shoulder. Armin was the perfect guy. No one could have changed her mind.

Her heart would subconsciously beat more quickly if she sees him. It is hard for her to notice because of the distraction. Although she can never ignore the heat that rushes up to her face if he glances over at her direction.

Shit, she thought, I fell for him hard.

She hated that.

She hated how badly in love with Armin she was.

If she didn't like him so badly, her chest wouldn't have been hurting from heartache.

She wouldn't be running home crying when she saw Annie confess to him.

She wouldn't be feeling ill from the scene that unfolded from her eyes.

She was right, Y/n thought as she feels tears trickling down her cheeks.

---Flashback---

"Wait, Y/n!" A voice called out

The h/c girl froze in sudden fear, before relaxing once she turned around and sees Annie. Annie had this dull look on her face, intimidating and serious. She was short, although she makes up the lack of height with her physical strength.

The ice blue eyes stare at Y/n, who is trying to figure out why Annie is calling her out.

"W-what's wrong, Annie?" She spoke.

The blonde's eye narrowed after the h/c questioned her.

"I just want to know, why you like Armin?"

At that moment, Y/n wishes she had failed her previous Science exam so she could have avoided this situation.

"I don't like-"

"Don't deny it, it's crystal clear that you love him too!" Annie snapped.

There was thick silence and tension through the air. Y/n's legs were slightly shaking and her feet were rooted to the wooden floor. Her mind was processing the sudden statement from the blonde, before speaking one more.

"What do you mean by too? Y-You like him, also?"

A shiver went up Y/n's spine as soon as she finished asking her question. Annie's gaze had fallen down at the floor. Her expression seemed unreadable to Y/n.

Silence was left in the atmosphere.

Y/n started shifting in her stand before finally getting the strength to edge on closer to the door.

"I do."

Annie's voice had cut her off from touching the door handle. The h/c turned around to face the blond girl, who was walking towards her.

"I do love Armin, too. Probably more than you love him," she paused. Her face remained neutral but her words were sharp and thorough. "You don't know much about love, do you? It wouldn't matter either way. It's clear to say he won't return those feelings. Not if your simply going to stare at him like some helicopter stalking their target.

"Just expect for those feelings to change after tomorrow. Too bad you're too quiet so you wouldn't be able to tell someone about those changes in emotions. Expect to be out for the rest of the week, too," Annie stated before making her way towards the exit of the classroom.
