3rd POV

It was relatively close to midnight by the time the blond had returned back into the comforts of his own home. The weather had changed from sunny to rain, which has caused more difficulty with traffic. His car had recently broken down so he had to take public transportation, much to his disliking.

Right as soon as he finished work, there were police cars speeding through the street right in front of him. Apparently there had been a car crash that took place up ahead which had caused slow roads. He was lucky enough to keep an umbrella with him as he stood out in the cold pouring. It was until after a while that he found a friend of his walking out of a bar. He ended up catching a ride from him, back to his home.

He wasn't expecting there to be any noise at this time, so when he heard cries from the second floor he headed straight up, (not without taking his shoes off though, I mean, he has been in the rain and who wants to mop?)

Armin sees the door of the nursery wide open as he makes his way to the top of the staircase. Is his girl already taking care of the crying baby? Well, nonetheless, he should still check up on both of them.

Creeping in from the door frame, Armin watched as he saw his lover cradling their 2 month old daughter, while humming.

It was a very adorable sight to see, but with the moonlight shining through the window, it seemed to make the image more majestic. As he remained at the doorway, his daughter quieted down and he realized he could hear Y/n singing.

Anywhere

Anytime

I would do, anything

For you

Anything for you.

By then the infant had fallen right back into a deep sleep, (and hopefully for the remainder of the night). Even though she noticed, she did not stop singing.

Sing, me

To sleep, now.

Sing, me

To sleep.

After walking around for who knows how long, she makes her way back to the crib to place little (daughter's name) down, (I would have placed a name here if I had one in mind, so, it is all your choice).

Y/n lightly grips the crib as she looks down at the little sleeping beauty. Armin decides now would be the time he stops from simply peeking. He made little to no noise as he wraps his arms around his significant other, causing her to jump in surprise.

"Oh! Armin? When did you make it back?" Y/n whispered.

"Just now. There was a car crash nearby my workplace, so traffic was rough." Armin pauses, giving a small peck to the cheek, before asking, "What are you doing up? Was (Daughter's name) giving you a hard time?"

Believing his seemingly genuine question, Y/n answered back. "Sort of. Though, I think the thunder was disturbing her."

Armin nods, pretending he didn't know what she was doing before he "came home." He looks down at the crib, watching his daughter shuffle about. He reached a hand to caress the very round, slightly pinkish cheek.

Once he pulls away, he turns to look back at the (h/c) and see her covering a yawn while rubbing an eye. "I think it's about time you head to bed, it's late," he whispers.

"Yeah... I guess I'll wait for you there," Y/n whispers back as she glances at him before leaning in to give a small kiss to his lips. She proceeds to walk out the room, her bare footsteps tapping against the wooden floor.

As much as Armin did want to just follow behind straight to bed, he did feel dirty. So he heads to the bathroom to shower and brush his teeth. He's pretty exhausted himself, and would rather be in the warmth of his home with his family.
