* Taehyung's POV *

"Wait, Taehyung, I-" Momo was cut off by the door swinging open, revealing three men in all black, swarming the door.

"Hey, who are you-"
It felt like a sudden blitz attack, with two of the men lunging toward me, the other cornering Momo in the kitchen.

"Momo!" Her name tore out of my throat.

"Is she the one?" One of the men asked the other.

"Wait, are you with my uncle?" Not knowing what Momo meant, I broke into a sprint, running towards her.

"Hey, watch the kid!" the man closest to Momo barked at the other two.

I was able to reach her before the other two noticed I was gone. I grabbed her hand and pulled her upstairs, throwing whatever I could at the men who were tailing us. They stumbled over each other in the staircase, but we were able to make it into a room before they rounded the corner.

"Idiots!"

"You didn't say there was going to be a guy with her!" one of the men yelled through the wall.

"Listen, I didn't pick her. Besides, she wouldn't be the first one we've picked up without any casualties," the voices trailed off, but still remained loud.

"We'll get her, there's only so many rooms, spread out." The footsteps dispersed.

"Momo what's going on?" I whispered in a low voice.

She was shaking. I wanted to reach out and hold her, tell her everything was going to be okay, but I couldn't lie to her like that.

"Taehyung, I'm sorry, whatever happens I-" her voice cracked around my name.

"No, no, no, Momo don't say that, we'll get out of here." I knew I shouldn't have said that, but what else could I say?

From the door, I frantically looked around the room, searching for anything to defend us with, but all I could see were plushies and clothes.

The rummaging noises came closer, and so did the footsteps, but I wouldn't let them get to her that easily.

The darkness of the room was interrupted by a beam of light. A window.

My body reacted before my thoughts did and I was already at the sil of the window. It was barely the width and length of our bodies, but it was good enough.

I looked down and remembered that we weren't on the first floor. A fire escape led the way to what seemed to be the bottom.

Unhinging the window, I told Momo my poorly put together plan as her cold hands shook in mine.

"Listen Peaches, I'm going to get you out of here. I don't know what kind of trouble you're in, but if we get out of here, you owe me a dinner so you can tell me, okay?" She was distracted enough to chuckle, but I could still feel the fear radiating out of her.

"I'm going to push you up, there's a platform that you're going to land on, but you're going to take the ladder down, I need you to run to my dorm, don't look back Momo, tell them what happened, and wait for the authorities there okay?" I relayed the plan to her, while trying to hide the fact that I too was terrified.

"No, I can't just leave you what if they do something to you or-" I cut her off not wanting her to waste any more time.

"C'mon Peaches, I'll be right behind you." Our eyes seemingly agreed and she turned around. I hoisted her up by the waist, and she was able to pull herself through while holding on to a top rail. I heard her land on the ground, but I knew that it meant the men could hear her too.

It took everything in me to pull myself through, except my landing wasn't as graceful, but Momo helped me down.

The second I stood up on the outside platform, I could hear the men busting the bedroom door open.

"Momo, hurry, the ladder," I whispered to her and pointed at the rusty ladder next to her.

We were halfway down when the men's muffled voices filled the room.

"I don't know, this seems like too much work for one girl, I get it, she was pretty and all but-"
The man was cut off by his companion.

"But nothing, they said she was famous, plus she was alone, meaning no witnesses, an easy steal," Momo and I continued our way down while trying to remain quiet but also listening to their conversation.

"Famous pretty girls like her would have gotten us a lot of cash . . ." We tuned out the rest as we touched the ground finally.

"Momo, are you okay?" I looked at her, she was shaking, either from the cold or the shock, but I knew we still weren't safe yet.

"C'mon peaches, we gotta run." I grabbed her hand and made a run towards my dorm, hoping that my members would be there to help.

We ran for what seemed like days, even though it only took us mere minutes.

Every now and then, I would feel her slow down and I felt terrible for not letting her stop and breathe, but what if they were right behind us?

What did they want her for?

What were they going to do to her?

"Momo, keep running, don't look back!" I spit out towards her. I tugged on Momo's arm continuously, afraid that if we stopped, someone would run by and snatch her.

Whatever those men were talking about didn't sound good, and I kept wondering if that was what Momo was worried about.

But it didn't add up; those men talked about her like she was a job, something they were sent to retrieve. Momo acted like she was waiting for something bad to happen, something she knew about. She mentioned her uncle too, but that didn't seem to trigger a response.

All while I was trying to figure out what happened and link my conclusions up, we made it to the building.

I pushed Momo in front of me and inside the lobby. I finally stopped and looked behind us. All that was visible were some trees and the light radiating from the lampposts. It felt and looked eerie after what we had just encountered.

It wasn't until we faced my dorm's door that Momo let go of my hand. Her hand, along with the rest of her, looked pale, and she continued to shake.

I punched in the passcode and threw ourselves into the room, feeling the warmth engulf us, as well as the feeling of security.

The door slammed shut and I could feel dozens of eyes on us the second it closed.

We collapsed into each other and sunk to the floor.

"Please," Jimin spoke up.

"Do tell."

what's up hoez. bet y'all didn't expect this so "soon".
i've been working on this chapter since February but i'm on break right now, meaning i've got some free time.
this chapter isn't really what i'm used to writing, and isn't in the style of the rest of the story, but it's action-packed and different, which i hope is alright and at least enjoyable.
this may seem like a lot and a different direction but trust me, it'll be straightened out and put on track better later on.
