"Have you been pacing like that all morning?" A thick accent dissipated her racing thoughts. She narrowed her greens at him and then leaned against the back of the cage.

"I'll take that as a yes." He replied, "lucky for you, you're coming out today." Newt dug inside his pocket and pulled out a wooden key. Within seconds of him unlocking the door she bolted out. His eyes widened, shocked that she would be willing to escape so early in the morning.

Until she came to a stop, tilting her chin upward to observe the sunrise. It was a deep scarlet that faded into a bright golden-yellow. The view was breathtaking.

"Did you remember your name yet?" Newt joined her side, measuring the view.

"Elodie." she replied, curtly.

"Right, well... Elodie, let's find you a place to sleep."

"The tree-house."

"The tree-house?" he repeated, "actually, that's a very great idea."

"Less of us to deal with?"

"Perhaps" She flashed him a smirk.

The two of them gathered sleeping materials and essentials, then brought them up to the tree-house. Once they were done setting up her cot, he made his way back down the ladder.

"I'll leave you to get more sleep. We'll question you at noon."

"Thank you..." she breathed. They made brief eye contact before he shook his head and turned away. "That's alright."

"Hey sweetheart! You alive up there?" Minho's voice plagued her ears.

"Unfortunately." Elodie grumbled while climbing out of bed.

"Did you remember your name?" he wondered, as soon as her feet hit the ground.

"It's Elodie." she stated in a monotone voice. A chuckle burst from his lips.

"What?" She cocked a brow.

"Just doesn't fit your attitude."

"Thanks." she rolled her eyes. "So, where are you taking me?"

"To the main house."

"As long as its not the slammer."

"Fun night?" He chuckled.

"You know it."

Time passed as they finished their journey across the field. Elodie released a small yawn once they arrived at their destination.

"Look who's up"

She turned her head and spotted Alby, Newt, and Gally leaning on the paneling of the large hut behind them.

"Morning, Greenbean. Sleep well?" Alby greeted her with a warm smile.

"Sleeping on the ground does wonders on your back." she retorted, while entering inside.

"I'll take that as a no." He chuckled, "Don't worry. We do this to every Greenie in the glade."

"You guys are monsters" she accused. Laughter followed her statement.

"No, Elodie. The real monsters are whoever trapped us here." She proceeded to follow the boys upstairs, until they led her to the outside balcony which overlooked the entire glade.
